OK guys what are your favorite Asian movies?
Battle Royale (Japanese) is my favorite. It's about a class of Japanese school children whose school bus gets gassed and they awake on a military run island. Once a year the Battle Royale programme airs on TV where the children must fight to the death until only one remains. This movie is awesome.
Ong-Bak (Thai) staring Tony Jaa. A villager's quest to return the stolen Ong-Bak (a Buddha's statue head) takes him to the city, where many fights ensure. Tony Jaa does all his own stunts and there is no wire work. An awesome actor/Thai kick boxer.
Others include Initial D (Japanese) a must see for drift fans. Old Boy (Korean) a tale of revenge. Jet Li's Fearless (Chinese). Final Fantasy VII Advent children (Japanese) the follow up to the awesome game. Hard Boiled (Chinese/Hong Kong) a film by John Woo and a must for Stranglehold fans. Bruce Lee films and many more.
Hoping to see soon; Welcome to Dongmakgol (Korean), Little Red Flowers (Chinese), Lady Vengeance (Korean) and some Johnnie To films.

Yeah I loved The Host (Korean) that was a really enjoyable film. But I would have to pick Ong-Bak over Warrior King, both were great anyway.

Well one of my favourite Asian movies is Dil to Pagal Hai (Indian) & The Way of the Dragon.
Wow, you guys actually thought the live action of Initial D was good?
It was utter crap, I mean the crap to the max, very bland and come on, chinese dudes being japanese people? = failure.

I love drifting too, i've been in love with initial D since I saw it at a local anime store, watched the crap out of the first stage, played all the arcade versions and even the cycraft one, but the live action just made me shake my head at it.

I don't like Asian movies because they censor out all the good stuff.

All the ones I've seen are all original with no censoring and with a lot of good stuff in lol. Do watch them on DVD or TV?

Hard Boiled (Chinese/Hong Kong) a film by John Woo and a must for Stranglehold fans. Bruce Lee films and many more.
Hoping to see soon; Welcome to Dongmakgol (Korean), Little Red Flowers (Chinese), Lady Vengeance (Korean) and some Johnnie To films.
Well first off I agree that Stranglehold fans definately need to see Hard Boiled because the game is the sequel to that movie. Also I would say you need to see Lady Vengeance and probably see Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance just to round out the Trilogy. And as a heads up, if you want a couple of good Johnnie To flicks, check out Election 1 & 2, and Exiled. I hear they're in process of making Election into a US movie this year also. I just hope they don't bone it like a lot of the other remakes they do over here.
One thing I didn't notice on any of your lists that you should all see immediately is the Zatoichi remake with Takeshi Kitano. In fact, go see all of his movies, I have yet to find one that didn't amaze(well, besides Dolls).
