Do the achievements still trigger if you use the cheat codes?

Well I wanted to be uber lazy so I entered the cheat codes and still got the achievements. After playing CoD 4 on Veteran I owed it to myself to get some easy achievements.

It might be cheaper to buy. Some 2006 games are cheaper to buy then rent for 1 week.

I'm so annoyed my copy of king kong freezes at level ten so i can only get 200G.
I lent it to a friend, he got it to work and got 1000.
I got it back, tried it again and it doesn't work.

Yeah, but don't. I did it that way, but didn't get the complete game achievement in the end. So I'm gonna have to play it again, finish all missions and then get the achievement.

Yes you can only get 800 by skipping levels... You can get a full 1000 with codes but you have to play every level.

You can get all 1000 using the cheats, just make sure you start from the beginning or last save point(not using level select cheat), and as some one stated already there is a part that would get stuck for me because I had the "All Guns" cheat, so I had to turn it off to get past that part.

But I did beat the game 100% and 1000 points using invisibility and all guns.

I just did the level select and got 800.

I got stuck on a bit because I used weapon cheats this guy is supposedto help me up onto this rock but all he does is shout at me.

Same thing happened to me, had to restart the level after finding out what happened. After that I turned all the cheats off and did it the normal way.

The game is easy enough to do without cheats, however its such a boring game you'll want to use the cheats to speed up the process.

I was in the middle of this when my xbox broke... Man is this game boring. I was only able to play for 30 minutes at a time before I had to turn it off. The finding the door crank handles by running backward through what you have already done for 15 minutes was driving me crazy. I am going through using the Ammo code though. Lot funner when you can just hold the trigger down and never need to reload.

Just got this game on a trade for less than $5. I got it b/c I think the kids will like it. I'll try it without any cheats but if it gets too boring then I'll let the kids finish the game to get my 1000. No cheating, just using child labor. Isn't that the best way to get the achivement points? :)

Yes they do still unlock. This will go by in no time at all with cheats. Use the one that gives you infinite health.

Quick question would be really handy if someone could advise - I had a huge Kong session last night and got to the mission where Anne summons Kong to fight the V-Rex. While fighting the V-Rex as Kong my 360 froze. I called it a night and came back to the game today to find the last save is one near the beginning of the game. If I use the level select cheat and go to the level I froze at and continue the game, will I get the completed game achievement at the end or only the achievements for the levels after that?

as i have stated in many of my posts i am anti cheating glitching, except for this game, its is so boring and long winded that you have to use cheats so u can rent it complete game in about 1 1/2 hours then send it back lol
