DEVIL MAY CRY 4 WALKTHROUGH
I am still working on this its just taking a while to type out as I had hand writtin it out while i was playing then got bored and irritated cause i wanted to go faster and beat the game so I have about half done and will finish it up in a bit but here is just a taste.
MISSION 1 – BIRDS OF A FEATHER
Mission 1 is just a tutorial. Pretty basic stuff here, Teaches you how to dodge roll, jump, attack, use devil bringer, guns, ect… just follow along and you’ll be fine.
MISSION 2 – La Porte de L’Enfer
Ok this Mission starts off with a couple of scarecrows. Use what you learned from the tutorial and take them out. Rush in for a quick combo or and air combo and follow it up with a Devil Arm for maximum damage. Smash all the breakables around for some extra red orbs, which will help with your ranking at the end of the level. Now head to the door, Once inside to the left should be a YELLOW ORB grab it as it will give you a continue If you die. Now head up stairs and you are faced with 3 more scarecrow. Don’t worry they are small fry just fight them the same way you fought the ones outside. Once they have been defeated the seal on the door will break and head on through.
Once outside take a quick left into the next door. Now head down stairs and grab the artifact Dark Legacy this grants you a new ability HELL BOUND
This allows you to grapple certain objects and pull yourself towards enemies or enemies towards you. Now use this new ability to grapple your way up stairs.
Now head down the hall and grapple your way across the ledge and down to the door. Now head down the hall and grapple your way across the court yard.
Now down this hall is SECRECT MISSION 1. It’s the pillar with the paper with a Red Symbol on it. Press either A or B in enter.
I will get to all the secret missions later in the guide I will just tell where they are through the guide but I will make a list of all secret missions and how to complete them later in the guide.
Now keep heading down the hall you’ll need to grapple your way across to the next balcony. Here 2 scarecrows will spawn as well as a barrier defeat them and break the barrier.
Now grapple across on the hell bound pad to the next balcony. Here again a few more scarecrow will spawn defeat them to release the barrier. And head on to the residential district. Jump down the platform there should be a couple baddies running around kill them, and then destroy the breakable objects for some red orbs; there is also a Red Orb Statue to the left down the alley. If you make you way up a little past the red orb statue and head up on the roof of the alley down a another alley to the left is a BLUE ORB FRAGMENT.
Now jump down and head down to the docks. But don’t make your way to the bridge just yet do down to where the boats are and grapple your way across and head into the warehouse.
Here you will encounter the Leg version of the scarecrow not much different then the other ones just make quick work of them to release the barrier. Now attack the blue glowing statue and attack it until it unlocks the blue barrier above. Now head up there and lower the bridge. Now back tract your way to the bridge and beware there are a few baddies around when you exit the warehouse and when you go to cross the bridge not much to be worried about defeat them or run by them your choice. Head across the bridge and into the tunnel.
Once inside grapple your way to the second floor, Here there is a Green Orb to the left if you need health(green orbs also give you red orbs if your health is full so its worth picking up either way) And in front of you should be a COMBO STATUE. Here you need to perform a B in style. And your reward is a BLUE ORB FRAGMENT. Now head down the hall and to the left is a DIVINE STATUE which can be use to purchase upgrades and Items. Now when your ready head up stairs and Say Hello to your first boss.
BOSS BATTLE – BERIAL
Ok Keep on your toes. Berial’s weak points are his Face and Hind legs; just remember not to be right behind him as he will stomp on you with his hind legs.
OK you got two choices here either hang back and shoot the crap outta him or rush in and take em head on.
He has several different attacks he will slash at you with his sword which is easily dodged just dodge roll out of the way. And counter attack with a ground combo or air combo
Another one of his attacks he will hit the ground with his fists and lava will erupt out of the ground just run away as you cant dodge it.
He will also charge at you covered in fire my only suggestion is to get out of the way as it deals quite a bit of damage.
Lastly he will erupt a huge explosion of fire after you know out his fire, get the hell outta there as this will do major damage.
When Berial is stunned you can grapple his face and use your grab throw on Beria lot do some major damage. You can actually 2 piece this to do a ton of damage to him grab in from the face first this will cause Nero to slam Berial’s face into the ground no while on the ground grab him again with the Devil Bringer to uppercut him and send him flying after this is when he will release the fire explosion so stay back and you’ll be safe.
Also if you find that you need so health during this battle, the houses contain green orbs to replenish your health. So try to avoid Berial smashing the houses until you need health.
Repeat the steps here and bring this big guy down for the count.
After you defeat Berial head up the stairs and into the tunnel and Mission 2 is complete.
