xbox hard drive question

I am in the middle of a gamerscore challenge for old spice for a $50 gift card for best buy. There are 7 days left and my 360 got the red rings of death or w/e. I have a question. If I took the hardrive off and put it on my brothers 360 could i continue on there? and are there any chances of either hard drive getting messed up?

You'll be fine switching out the HDs. From what I've heard, the RRoD are only tied with the system itself, the HD is fine.
