I decided this movie deserves it's own thread. I recently watched it again which probably makes the 100 time I've seen it and it's still my favorite movie of all time. The thought that another movie would ever even be mentioned in the same breath as this is INCONCEIVABLE!

If anyone hasn't seen this movie I highly recommend watching it or taking your own life.

Most overrated film of all time. My wife really likes it and she has to watch it alone whenever she wants to. It's funny once every four years or so, definitely couldn't watch it more than that.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights FTW.

Both this and Men In Tights are great movies, not sure which I like more though.

I actually finally got the DVD version of TPB less than a few weeks ago.
I'd have to agree with Pants somewhat, I can only watch it every once in a while or I'll get tired of it. Not to say that this isn't the same with plenty of movies that I like.

Well movies generally aren't something that you like to watch over and over again. How often do you re-read books? Saying that it's not great because you can't watch it on repeat for 3 days straight is holding it up to some pretty ridiculous standards. Either way just saying that this is one of my all time favorites and that everyone should see it at least once if their lifetime.

It was a decent movie. Not on of my more favorite ones, but it was still enjoyable. I'll watch it sometimes when it's on TV but never really any other times.

I personally feel as if this train of thought is inconceivable! This has been my favorite movie since I watched it...5 years ago? But really, what a great movie. I love Inigo Montoya. He gives Antonio Banderas a run for his money :)

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Since I used it once, I fail to see how I keep using it. Also, if you're trying to call me out, it's kind of embarrasing

Now I'm calling you stupid.

YouTube - You keep using that word.

I'm a little high strung today, eh?

Haha it's alright, no hard feelings.

I totally forgot about this movie! Great flick!

Andre The Giant FTW!

Anywho, about the movie, I remember mostly everybody telling me about Inigo's line "My name is..." you know the line. I was real skeptical until I actually saw the movie and then I was like Woooowz0r, this movie is fantastic. I also think Andre the Giant did a great acting job.

I had to triple edit my last post(s) :)

Not exactly a realistic comparison considering one is a parody and the other isn't.

Yes Robin Hood Men In Tights is a great movie in the comedy category but The Princess Bride is a great movie in the love story/romance category.

I think my favorite part is when they have a battle of wits. That was a classic moment.

Inconceivable!

Billy Crystals part is actually the best part.

I'm going to have to ask that you edit your post...

Please don't mention this. :(. I've already been emabarassed. :(.

Still, we can all agree the best part is the legendary "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." scene. I will have to ask both of you to edit your posts.

You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

I still don't like it, I'm just saying you can compare it and Men in Tights because they're both the same genre. That other guy was claiming Princess Bride wasn't a comedy, which isn't true. Therefor: Men in Tights > Princess Bride.

I know what you meant. I was manipulating your words to make it seem as though you said you liked it. I know it's a comedy.
