Cheating and achievements

I'm wondering if anyone could give me an answer to, or point me to a thread with the answer to this question:

I used a code on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and since codes disable achievements I deleted my saves and anything to do with M:UA on my hard drive. It didn't solve the problem, as I still have all characters unlocked, etc. when I try to start a new game.

Are codes directly linked to your gamer tag and not your save file? Is there any way to fix this?

I don't have much fun playing x360 without achievements, and I was using the code to test out a character's skills with the intent of deleting and restarting the game.

Do you mean actual cheat codes or gamesaves..

If you mean gamesaves, you won't get an answer as it's frowned upon on this site...

Cheat codes. I entered a 'button-press' code to get all characters.
I've tried searching google, but I guess I massively fail at teh internetz.

i think for Marvel, your character data is saved to ur profile which is why you can use same character data between saves. this is why the characters that you unlocked didnt go away when you deleted ur save. i cant remember if there is a way to delete this data tho cause i havent played it in a while

If you deleted the data from your dashboard. As in going to your memory, games, and delete all the Ultimate Alliance saves. And it still won't let you get achievements then I think you're screwed.

I heard you have to recoverer your gamertag, so delete it but not saves exept MUA and recover it. Im not sure but thats what i heard...

I would say you are screwed on that one buddy sorry to tell ya.

Depending on your GS (and what you have put into games and what not) if you really want to get those achievements you might want to think about setting up a new GT and starting fresh again and use that other one to test things out so it doesnt effect your new GT.

with all do respect:p LESSON LEARNED, dont use cheats until your happy with how far you got in the game or completed it.. now your screwed all because you wanted to see a some skills...

Not completely screwed yet you have to completely delete everything including your GT and then recover it from xbox live and it should work (I.E. no more Marvel stuff on your hard drive)

I would think if you deleted your GT wouldn't everything be swiped clean?? another is if you delete your GT how can you recover it after previously trashing it??
