I preordered it in August 2007 off Amazon. Its going to come a day later because that always happens when I preorder games off Amazon. It happened with Halo 3. So I'll suck it up on April 29th until the next day, when I get it for sure.

I have yet to preorder it. I usually don't preorder a game because it is not necessary. I have been tempted at times just to go in and put some down for this game just so I can feel like I have a part of the game already. Oh well, I'm sure Best Buy will have plenty when they open that day.

Why do you end up regretting it? If you pre-order GTA IV you get the bonuses plus entry into raffles for some sweet prizes (and with better than average chances of winning too since they're giving away plenty of prizes)

Mostly because I always see the game on sale for 10-15 bucks cheaper like 2 months after its release.....as was the case with Assassins Creed. Just not enough incentive to preorder a game unless its gonna be in short supply.........which GTA definately will not be.

I got GTA3 for christamas the year it came out and my little brother broke the disc, i couldnt get another copy until march :(

It don't cost $5 more to pre-order it goes in the same money as the game. You'll only need to pay $55 instead of $60.

I live in South Africa. i pre-ordered the special edition(about a month ago) for 1000 rand(thats $128 at the current exchange rate). compare that to the $90 that Americans pay. there is a $47 difference between our standard and collectors edition. In America there is only $30 difference.

I was going to pre order from hmv yesterday and get the 1000 ms points with the standerd but went onto there website and the deal had ended. Instead i went to game pre orded got 500 ms points + 4 gamerpictures and will they ensure me i will get it a day before realise or realise day :).

Not over Xbox Live, via your email adress. When you pre-order it from game you haft to enter your email etc when you sign up, They will send the code to there.

Got a quick question that I hope some one who might work for Gamestop or Ebgames could inform me with...A while ago, XboxFamily reported that customers who pre-ordered GTA IV through actual retail stores would get special packaging, codes for gamerpics, etc...Ever since that one site reported it, I haven't heard a thing...I went to my local Gamestop and they knew nothing about the matter, although they rarely would, especially about something as secretive as GTA IV...Anybody else got any info on this?

All depends on where your getting it from, some game sites might give the offer but some won't. It should say somewhere in the game description if you get the deal or not.

I only ordered it on April 8th, the standard edition, from GAME.

I'm unsure if I will get it for launch, on the day I ordered it (April 8th), it said they cannot guarentee delivery for release day any orders made after April 8th. Hopefully they have a few extra copies ordered though. :)
