I've been waiting for a Halloween Box Set to be released in the US, and I've been waiting a long ass time.

I was wondering if anybody owns the PAL Halloween Box Set. If it's any good, and what special features it comes with. I've sold all my old VHS copies of all the Halloween films assuming a box set would be released, and it still hasn't. If anyone owns it, is it worth buying a Region 2 DVD Player for it alone? I know that I'd eventually start buying Region 2 DVD's, but this would be the main reason I'd purchase one.

Yeah, that's the one I'm looking at, but, as you know I live in the US. I was wondering if it's worth buying a Region 2 DVD Player.

Well, it will cost ya at least $350 with shipping I would have thought.

So no IMO. Plus UK DVDs are more expensive, out later and generally dont have as many extras....

Eh, didn't really calculate much. That's also without the DVD player.

Does anyone know if Anchor Bay has any intentions in releasing one in the US?

I'm with you on this one Tussell, I've been waiting for a Halloween box-set for forever! I really do hope one is going to be released this year, as have I hoped every year for like..four years. =O

I doubt it will come this year if it comes at all.

I still don't know why the haven't released one yet. They're still releasing multiple versions of the first three. It's rediculous.

I've bought each Halloween movie individually (save for the remake), so I don't really need a box set. Although, if they did release a box set in the US, I'd probably buy it and sell my individual copies over ebay or amazon. I love owning them box sets.

Also, you should just buy a region free DVD player. Thats what I did when I moved out. I bought The Mighty Boosh series 1 and 2, and they were region 2, and I needed a DVD player. So I got a region free one. No worries about where DVDs come from, now.

Yeah, I saw your DVD collection, I've nearly mirrored it. We've got similar taste.

I collected all the slasher films on VHS, and still have all the Friday the 13th films, A Nightmare On Elm Street VHS Box Set, all the Scream films, etc. I've got them all on DVD now, but Halloween is the only one I'm waiting on.

(That's not all the DVD's in my house either. My brother has many DVD's that I haven't bought but are still part of our collection. These are just the ones I have in my room.)

Damn nice collection, Tussell. We do have a lot of the same movies. And a lot of the ones you have I've been meaning to buy.

Very nice collections. I use to own tons and tons of VHS movies, but they got sold or lost over the years. I'm just starting to buy back most of my favorites.
