Xbox360 Elite On/off

I serched this "xbox360 problem" And i know theres the PRoblem thread but this isnt a Red ring thing. I turned off my Elite and the lights were off, but it was still making sounds. The power Block also still showed Green light. So I Unplugged it, replugged it..and it was off. Its only happened 2 times but has anyone else seen this with a elite, or any 360?

Do you have your controller's play and charge still plugged in after?

Do you have your iPod or mp3 player still plugged in after?

Do you have the "continue downloading from marketplace when powered off" feature enabled?

Either of these 3 things will make it continue to make noise. It stops when the controller/ipod are done charging or when the download finishes.

To be honest, my Elite has that very same problem every so often. I was doing none of the above that Wooah stated and it just wouldn't shut off. I had to manually press the Power button on the console to shut it off.

P.S. Grammar is very important. I'm the Grammar Police and the Locksmith. Not even the Justice League can take me down.;)

Hah! That's funny! I didn't know people looked that closely to people's sigs, but I think he spelled it that way intentionally. Gamer being mispelled though, looks unintentional. lol

Nah. I think grammar and gamer were unintentional and dictionary was a typo (I hope).

It really bugs me when people say "Watch your grammEr!" and spell it like that, so I have an eagle eye for that word specifically.

Thats weird. I have never had this happen, but I do not have an Elite. I dont know what to tell you, but if you ask me it doesnt seem that big of a deal.

The exact same happens to my Elite too. It only happens every so often though, nothing regular.

I don't have my controller plugged in Play & Charge when I knock it off, I never run my iPod on my 360 and I decided to keep that 'download when off' feature knocked off after my old 360 red-lighted while doing it. :p

What I usually have to do is knock it back on then off again by the power button on the 360 to knock it off fully.
