DMC4 Site Leaks Possible Demo Date
Slip-up shows we have a bit more than a week to go.

Capcom had previously announced that the demo for the highly anticipated hack-and-slash Devil May Cry 4 (http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3158093) would be coming in early 2008 (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3164806). But "early" is relative; with the game set to release in mid-February, anywhere before it hits shelves would be "early" in 08. So in our forums and user comments -- yes, we read those -- we've noticed a good deal of impatience for the demo, or at least word on when the demo is coming. Luckily, it looks like an accidental slip could have finally given an answer.
IGN (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/846/846117p1.html) noticed today that two official minisites for the game, deceiverdeceived.com (http://www.deceiverdeceived.com/) and betrayerbetrayed.com/ (http://www.betrayerbetrayed.com/), contain a widget download page with an image that claims the DMC4 demo will be hitting on January 31. The actual widget doesn't claim it once downloaded, and the widget teaser image has since been changed to remove the date.
Without an official announcement, we can't really be sure that the demo will be hitting at the end of this month, but two weeks before the game's release seems like a fairly safe bet. We'll keep you posted when we hear more, but in the mean time you'll have to settle for 1UP's preview (http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3164815&sec=PREVIEWS) of Devil May Cry 4.
