End of Hela level

I'm at a part in this level where it looks like I have to climb up some big pillar.
Problem is after about 50 tries I can't climb it to the first hand hold at all. I just fall right before I get to it.
Is there some secret to climbing I've somehow missed this entire game?

First you must let the two big boulders go at the right and left top sode of that part .. then after that you must turn the wheel that is in the middle of that part .. then you can climb the pillar .. you go up and then to the left then you go up again and to the left .. all the way to tha top .. Hela is the second last boss and the way to defeat her is to first make the big boulders on each side of the room roll down to shatter the ice by using your Thanes, then you need to make you Thanes rotate the wheel thats in the center to make the handhold appear on her throne so you can climb up and take her out, remember that when your climbing up her throne to go up and then go left all the way up and around until you reach the top, then follow the command promptsto kill her.

I hate these parts in kids/movie games, that seem so damn simple, but yet are so complicated...They seem to throw at least one in every one of these games..good thing to look out for when I start this game in the next couple days..

Well I finally realized there were hand grips lower down on the other side of the piller, doesn't matter though, the control suck so bad I can't get up it. Seems like when I climb the hand grips (repetedly pressing B) then push the stick left (while repeatedly pressing B) Beowulf will make the trip over to the left a bit, then stop just after he clears the corner and fall back down to the bottom. VERY frustrating game. Honestly one of the worst games on the 360. I haven't had this much non-fun playing 360 in awhile. I can see why they dropped the price to $19.99

Any tips how beat that three stupid ice trolls? Everytime I lost all thanes or I die.

I get my Thanes to move the two doors and release the boulders smashing the ice at the bottom but the wheel thingy in the middle doesn't rise so I can't get my guys to turn it....do I need to kill the trolls first or should the wheel have been moveable by now??

I hate this game so much and I have an RSI from trying to rip the throats of the ice trolls !!

After you drop both boulders, then move both doors there are 6 ice blocks (3 on either side) at the bottom that you need to smash. Then kill the Trolls if there are any. And once you hop back up to the wheel platform it should rise.

Thats where Im getting stuck then...I can't kill these trolls ! I've been doing the carnal thingy and snapping their necks but get killed in the process and also tried just dodging and stabbing it. When I get the heroic storm option up I never get chance to press LB and activate it as Im always surrounded by those ice dudes with the spears.

6 hours plus on it now !

EDIT - Finally finished this level (Now stuck on the dragon). Instead of bothering with the boulders and doors i went straight down and smashed the 6 pillars of ice myself then killed the ice trolls and got all my guys to turn the wheel before that priestess woman turned up then just ignored that my thanes were getting killed and rushed up to finish Hela off....was so simple when i eventually did it. The dragon level is killing me now !!

^You just have to time time his stomps. I played it safe for the most part. Get under him, let him stomp and I'd dodge and then hit Y. Wait for him to stomp with his other foot, dodge, Y and so forth. I think he does that 3 times then goes in the air and comes straight down then flies to a different part of the level. Just repeat. It took me 3 tries. The first try I didn't know what the hell I was doing. The 2nd I figured out a good strategy and the 3rd I just perfected it. It takes a while, too.

I managed it in the end thanks - just got my 1k on it wooo hoo.

With the dragon i went over to where you can get the axe and stood by the fire until he did his two runs then just hacked at him twice whilst dodging then ran back to the fire until he jumped, flew off and did his two runs again. Just gotta watch out for that tail swish at somepoint. It killed me just as Id got its health to the red !

with hela dont bother with the boulders or pushing the stones like its said just go directly and destroy the crystals 3 on each side then kill the trollls and move wheel in center. this method is better because you only have to kill 2 trolls in stead of it seems like another wave of 4 plus ice warriors very good tip ... oh the path is actually on the tower you have to climb the things on the tower its not like a path its the climbing things on the tower. .

I never did finish this game. The issue wasn't knowing what to do. I killed everything I needed to kill the first time trying. The issue was once the time came to climb the f*in piller....I couldn't. The thing is like a big square, when I would jump up and climb up. I'd go climb straight up till the hand grips were no more. Then I'd try to point my stick to the left and jump over to the left but the damn guy would only get so far as the corner, start clawing at the sides, and then drop down most of the time. I never could figure out what the hell to do to get him to climb to the left consistantly and grab the next set of hand grips without NOT making it and falling. I wasn't getting hit by the shards either. In the mean time that Hela lady would kill everyone. I'd spend 10-15 minutes getting to that climbing point, only to not be able to finish the crappy level. Got old quickly. Totally ruined an otherwise decently mediore game. If anyone can try and explain why I keep falling off the pillar that would be great.

I'm a bit stuck here, i kill the trolls etc, but guys keep coming and chunks of ice falling near the pillar are annoying, when i start to get up there my guys end up getting killed. Also, when you have to switch sides on the pillar to go up, beowulf jumps too far sometimes and falls all the way down

Edit: ahh, I got it, I was going the wrong way around the pillar

I also have a problem with this battle. I can get rid of the crystals just fine with the method of running down to them, but after a certain amount of hits to the trolls, they're not taking anymore damage, and are just killing my Thanes left and right.

I'm going to guess the game got glitched up, but I'm afraid to reset my 360, since I'm not sure if the game actually saved right before the fight, or if it's only a checkpoint, and I have to start the entire thing, like going through the ice caverns, etc., all over again. I've already tried restarting the battle twice now (by dying both times), and the trolls still aren't taking any damage.

EDIT: So after I was restarted my 360 (fortunately, it just starts you near the upgrade box before Hela when you load), I was able to get past the trolls, and the crystals, and turn the wheel. But then no handholds appeared on the throne for me to climb up. So now I more than likely have to restart the 360 again.
