which battles are story related and which aren't?

Story related are usually brought to your attention by the Bartender or a Soldier.
They also have an Icon next to them when you go to select a Campaign.

might be in the wrong topic but do yous do the story related missions as it appears or do yous do the normal missions first 2 boost ur levels up?

i usually do as much of the normal missions as i can bare to do

Usually later between Story missions they have you do around 2-3 Non story campaigns.

ive been stuck on 2 stars for 2 hours now
this is annoying
on the positive side ive managed to collect 200,000 dollars.

Yeah the jump from 2 to 3 star fame took a long time. This whole game took a long time. 106 hours till I got 1k in it.

On a side note make sure you do all of the achievements before you finish out the story missions or you will be unable to get the fire arms or the engineering books. And if you save after beating the game you will have to start over.

Almost happened to me...luckily I made a separate save file or else I would have lost all that play time.

Im playing though with just one leveled group (Halberds)

Ill be happy with 950/1000

i dont really like the game enough to stick it out for the 1000

What does the icon look like?

And what do missions with a "!" next to them mean?

EDIT: Nevermind, clearly I'm illiterate cause it says right in the manual that ! are story.

dollars? its diner or dinier or something

and if its story look for the scroll. or exclaimation mark. or whatever it is to the left of the mission and doing them missions will advance the story
