something wrong with me 360?

ok, ive had my new xbox 360 since saturday now and today i was playing NBA 2K6 and listning to my custom soundtrack...while i was playing the game, i did something (im not sure where i went or how i did it) but i turned something down from 100 to 0..after that when i took the game out there was no sound on my console! i went to play hitman and no sound, i took it out and i listned to a voice message from a friend, and there was sound again...i then played the game off of xbox live and there was sound still, thank god then after i was done i got on xbox live again, and no sound once again. i then took it into the tv in the living room and the sound was there, i came back in here plugged it back up to the tv and the sound is there, is there something wrong with my console? or is it the tv? because for some reason i get the feeling that the A/V isnt plugged in all the way to the tv because of those lil gold things around the part that plugs in (this tv only need the yellow and white one plugged in) but the weird thing is is that it started happening after i took NBA 2K6 out and after i turned the thing from 100 to 0 can anyone help me if there's something i can do about it? if someone thinks that there's a way i can fix it from the console or has played the game and know's what im talking about please help when i went to the screen and turned the thing down there was only to things there that were up at 100 i think it was sound and FX or something like that, please help me people!

I dont understand what this "thing" is that you turned from 100-0 was it in the game or on the dashboard?

it was in the game the game noise was covering up my song and i wanted to mute the game so i could hear the song

Let me make sure im understanding you, you turned the in game sound down in nba and now all your (non arcade) games went silent?

If thats what your saying that sounds very odd.....very odd indeed!

thats the thing im not sure what it was i turned down in the game im pretty sure it was the in game sound but im not 100% sure i diddnt really see what it said next to it i saw something dealin with volume so i turned it down to 0 and im not sure if my arcade games are silent or not because i havnt played an arcade game since then and as of right now (last time i turned it on) the sound works on it

I think I know what this is... when NBA is on hit the button to bring up the dashboard to the side and then go to the little volume button towards the button. This turns the volume up and down... custom sounds anyway... its worth a try.
