Opening the door

Ok I just got Quake 4, and Ive just blown up the aircraft hangers, left the building and Im in a series of trenches, fought my way through these...and theres a locked door I have to somehow open but ive searched all through the trenches and cant find any kind of switch or keycard and theres no way out to anywhere else.....what am I missing? lol

I think the part you're talking about is where there are some crates that you can jump up onto and then jump up over top of the door. There should be a hole in the ground up above the door and you can fall down into it to end up on the other side of the door.

It's quite a fun game and this part stumped me aswell for a week or so....
