Well, we have reached two huge milestones on the site within 6 hours of each other. The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that we have now gone past the 50,000 member mark, and just hit 500,000 posts on the forums as well. This is a true sign that we are the biggest and best Achievement site on the net.

To say a big Thank You to everyone that has played a part in getting us to the milestone, we’re going to do what x360a do best……… a giveaway!!

We have a load of prizes to be given out, as well a special prize for one lucky Senior member (250 posts and 3 months membership).….

The Contest

This is open to everyone. All you need to do is post in this thread with a suggestion on what you’d like to see on x360a in the future, and we will pick a random winner. Now, onto the prizes. As it’s a big celebration, we thought we’d better pull some retail games out of the cupboard.

1st – 5th Place: A retail game from the following list:
Bioshock
College Hoops 2K8
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
MS vs ATV Untamed
NBA 2K8
NCAA March Madness 08
NHL 2K8
The Bigs
1st place 1st choice, 2nd place 2nd choice etc

6th through to 15th place: Spongebob Square Pants Arcade Game

As well as the above prizes, we also have a special prize for the senior members – those with 250 posts and have been registered for 3 months or more. This will go to the first Senior member pulled out of the hat. This one is a much more unique prize. The first part of the prize is Tempest Arcade game. That’s not the important bit though. The real prize is the first ever x360a t-shirt. Yep, the very first one. None of the staff have these, they aren’t available to the public yet – you will have quite literally the first off the press! Your chance to have a prize money can’t buy…….yet!!

The contest will close on 20th Jan at 8PM GMT.

So, just to recap, Thank You!! On behalf of all the Staff, and all the other members, thanks for helping us to get to this milestone. But don’t worry, we won’t be resting. We will continue to bring you cool new features, the latest 360 news and reviews, and of course all the Achievement info under the sun. We have some VERY cool news regarding Achievements coming in the next few months- you won’t want to miss it!

There’s only one thing left to do now. And that is to pass this over to RoutineX, the man that started this site just under 2 years ago. He doesn’t speak much, and it’s taken us a long time to get this out of him! Anyway, direct from his igloo, here’s RX………
I would like to reiterate what Minty has said, and start by saying a Thank You to everyone who has helped the site grow to what it is today. It has taken a lot of time, effort and hard work to get to where we are today, and it’s all been worth it. When I started the site nearly 2 years ago, I could only hope it would grow into what it is today. In my wildest dreams I could never have predicted this!

As well as all of the members, I would like to thank all the staff as well. They don’t often get as much praise as they deserve, so I will take this opportunity to dish some out. So thanks out to all the review team, the graphics team, the Mods and Supermods, Tron for the Screenshots and Krazie for the Achievements. And I must give a special mention to my 2 long serving partners in crime, that have kicked my butt into gear on many an occasion – Minty and Webby. First round in Leipzig is on me! I must also say thanks to everyone who has submitted screenshots, Achievement pictures and guides – without the content this site wouldn’t be worth visiting. Also a big thanks to everyone that has donated or subscribed to the site to help towards server costs – again, we wouldn’t be here without you.

And from here we can only get bigger and better. We have some new features coming soon, hopefully a new server that will allow us to expand the features on the site even more as well as the usual mix of news, achievements and forum banter. So, lets look forward to the 100k member Competition and the 1,000,000 posts one as well! Rest assured, the site will be bigger, better even more useful.

Now good luck in the contest!

Congrats to everyone.

My suggestion is:

Don't change what's working. The admins and mods have this site in good shape, don't lower the standards that have brought us this far.

Fine tuning the achievement list is due. Let's make it more user friendly and accessible.

Congrats here's my suggestion, video contests, wether its about a video game montage a music vid or whatever, the winners recieve like a free dvd or something, the videos will have to acceptable, no foul language and such, violence can't really be helped since most games are but nothing perverted or demeaning, anyway that's my idea.

one thing i would like to see on this site is faster guide creation on the site, we should bring the community together more for the guides and put them out there faster

I think It'd be cool to have a MoY. Mod of the Year. The members could vote on it since we, the people, are the ones you moderate over. Also, for a prize, you could give away like a 3 month live card or a 1k M$ points card. Also, I forgot to say Congrats! This site is awesome and has become my home away from home ever since I joined. Oh yeah, I almost forgot my gamertag, n1n3t33nd3lta.

Ok Well I think the sites pretty amazing as it is, if it wasn't I wouldn't be here, would I?

Anyway, what I would like to see is some more organised game nights, even if x360a just set up a gaming calender,

FPS Monday
Racing Wednesdays

Etc etc

Give the members a chance to meet up on live.

So should I pick my game now?

first off wanna say i love the site and the people on it.. everyone in some way has helped me out so much in gettin some of those hard to get achivements.. and the only suggestion i have for the site would be for a ranking of how hard or easy the achivements are.. and have a way to put them in order from easiest to harderest. then we could use our achivement whore (gamefly) to jack up our score with all those eassssssyyyy points :)

Suggestion : Just keep doing what you are doing this is a fantastic site, hopefully if the ads and subscriptions allow for a server upgrade the site will be able to be used even more! I also think video guides could try to be resurrected as it did start but never really took off, but i guess we need to encourage members to make them! Awards?

Anyway congrats on the 50k members and 500k posts this site is the BEST and the members are the best. Let's continue to be the best for years to come! :woop:

I haven't been a member long but I still helped in a way :)

I would like to see site "special days" Days where the site gets a bunch of people together and just goes through a game of their choosing and plays multiplayer all night.

Another thing I would like to see is a revisit to some game guids which are bland and not very detailed and fine tune them.

There is the "My360Achievements" where you have an interactive checklist of the achievements on a game. It's already useful, but what I would like a lot would be this - after you get an achievement and mark it on the list, it would come off of that list and get put on a second list where all the achievements you have gotten for that game will go. So basically there would be two different lists, one of achievements that you still need, and one of the achievements you have already obtained.

Suggestion - More community gatherings, I think we as a community should come together to play more online together.
Also i'd like to see video guides produced (I do plan on getting a capture card myself) and if this isnt already possible i'd like to see the option to be able to edit a guide and gain credit for doing so.

Finally I want to see world domination through the X360A Army.

While I don't have an official suggestion and if I think of one that Minty doesn't steal first or Webb doesn't siphon from my brain I'll post it later.

I do want to say a well deserved thank you and congrats to all that make this place what it is... and what it will become.

I'd also like to say to everyone that has never seen Routine around I apologize to you. He is one of the nicest and greatest people you will ever not meet, and it's all my fault. You see he and I had a race to 60K and after he lost... he became a hermit.

I've only recently just got an X360, so I'm still learning new features and stuff such as achievements and gamerscore now.

This site has provided great information on how to get the different achievements in the games I've been playing.

My suggestion:
I have none.

So far, I've only explored a small fraction of x360a, so I wouldn't know if I'm already suggesting something that exists.

All I can say now, is to keep up the good work.

Hi, my suggestion we have some kind of online system where we can see people who are playing certain games in a area where they link up with them to do achievement matches or whatever but like a community friends site for who go on 360 achievement website, this will then encourage other people to join this WEBSITE!!!!!!!!

i think we should have a giant world map, and a US and England map where we can see where all the members close to us are... so we can watch them sleep...muhuhuhahaha...

but seriously a map would be sweet... now i just need to find someone who is staff who could push the idea....

FredOnToast

I'd just say a really simple idea. Maybe a page you change weekly, and on it you've got:

"This Week, we're playing Call of Duty 4!"

And every week you change the game.

Nice job on the site. I would suggest making it so people could rate guides for games and have multiple ones to choose from. Guides are great and all, but some of the guides aren't very in depth and they don't really explain how to get certain achievements. If there were multiples to choose from, then it would be better for the people, and the people could choose what guide they wanted to look at by what number of stars or whatever it got. Only downside with this is that you have to have multiple people post guides, but if this is a problem, i can lend a hand.

I agree with everyone who says "Don't fix what's broken." This site is very good and near perfect, and, as 19 said, this has also become my home away from. But, if I were to suggest one thing, I would suggest asking the forum members opinions on things on the site such as the thread about what kind of contest we would like to see. Getting the forum members involved in such things is great for the site in my opinion.

I guess this could tie in with a couple of previous suggestions:
A calendar that is different for Europe, USA, Asia etc. that shows the release of certain games, community events (if they start being used by members), big holidays in certain countries (or states) i.e. Christmas, Thanksgiving etc.

It'd help boost the community feel of the site if people know when events are taking place, allow members looking to "host" an event to see if it conflicts with any holidays in different countries and much more.

Well this is a very small thing, but it bothered me a bit:
You should have the option to remove completed achievements from the printable version. It might not seem like much, but when I was printing the guide for the orange box and had to go through and delete like 50 achievements when printing, believe me it was a pain.

Congrats guys, a job well done. As you grow in numbers my suggestion is the creation of guilds/teams. I end thoroughly enjoyed my GSL team (until I got the red ring of death) and the commoraderie that was formed. The creation of guilds would allow people to talk in smaller venues and do more team planning rather than send out mass posts to boost. Contests down the road could be between guilds, saving time in the creation/drafting of teams and maybe saving Wreckon some time!

First time poster, long time user. By far one of the best sites on the net. Maybe a news letter or small mag. would be cool. Alright my suggestion would be to get the Members of the Year page. Now this would not include the people were the "Members of the Month". But this would just be the people that has helped the site grow and been the people who have done the most for the site within that year. This could get some of those people that need recoginition to be heard and given their appreciation that they deserve.

I would like to see more collaboration/revision in the achievement guides for games. As it is now, a member or a few members put the guide up and then its occasionally modified. I think it might work easier if people created the guide and then, as a group, they compiled the collected work and then it went under some peer revision before it was posted.

Also, I'd love to see tournament style contests. don't know how you'd implement them, but they'd be fun to see.

This site has the best forums ever and is by far the best achievement website! Congrats!

My suggestion is that maybe the people who make the achievement guides give the achievements on the game a difficultly rating. E.g Guitar hero 3 = 5 stars because its bloody hard to 1000 on that game! or you could just give a difficultly rating to each achievement. Im easy i dont mind :p

Suggestion: I agree with the Video section. So much achievement help is now done through YouTube videos ("Mile High Club" anyone?) that it almost deserves its own section and praise. Let people post the videos in the thread sticky and then link pertinent ones to the Achievement Guide. Mucho useful.

Love the site. I wouldn't change too much. I like some of the suggestions though:

- release calendar
- form for achievement guide to make it easier to create and read
- printable versions of guides with options to remove achievements from printing

I would also like to see that things be more centered around length of membership instead of post count. I have been here a while and I come here every day but I just don't feel the need to post a lot. I help where I can but often times people just beat me to the punch and I do not feel the need to reiterate other people's posts. I do use the forums but only post when I have something to contribute, posting a "me too" or "I don't" is something I don't usually do (except for contests).

Thanks for the site though, it has been of value to me.

I think there should be a central list that everybody could check and/or add to containing a list of members or gamertags that have beat people or just been completely retarted during a boosting or trading session. I'm a hardcore arcade gamer a leaderboard for this site just for arcade games would be sweet, lol, I'd probably be near the top. This site is almost perfect so ideas are hard to come by...congrats on the milestones though.

Another thing is you should make a calendar and come up with a game for each day. That way it throws a lot of variety out there and people can choose what day to play w/ the community. Or just make a calendar for coming soon games.

My suggestion is that we have a soughta old game of the week feature. So whilst we head towards gaming future, we can take a look back at the games that made gaming what it is today.

Now that's out the way, like Stallion, I'd like to see a more regular podcast from this website, because I have to say it's too good to be missing. ;)

Also, more regular members/members that stick around more. It's the same members regulary getting involved with the community every day, let's mix it up a bit.

Suggestion: I know it's been suggested before but a stickied poll in each game thread for 1000 completion difficulty. It wouldn't have to be monitored that closely and it wouldn't necessarily replace the Quick 1000s thread because those are all time related. I think it'd be great to get players opinions on each game's difficulty.

Thanks for the great site!

its taken me like 15 minutes to come up with a single thing that is poorly handled around here. This site handles better than any corp site that ive seen aside from microsoft, and you are wildly more informative about what matters to us.

what about a putting a rating system in for each game for the members to vote on, maybe even a few like ease of achievements, gameplay, graphics, ect. make it easily visible on each games page, or another tab up on the top w/ list, guide, media ect..

I would love to see a new layout on the homepage to shake things up a bit. Maybe find a new and different way to display news. Add a member spotlight of the week or something (sort of like a way to meet people of the site in a different approach). Add new awards and expand some of the older awards like Achievement ones to go past 10 submissions.

The site is great as it is, but something that has been annoying is the rushed achievements guides, which don't give all the answers that players need. Even if it would be simple achievement for others, some people need more guidelines and tips, and it would be good to see that every guide is well detailed in the future.

big congrats to every member for contributing to this milestone be it senior member or not. Also, a huge thank you to the staff for maintaining this site and letting us all use it :D

My idea is a list of all the retail games and then when you click on a title you get a list of the gamertags of people having trouble with that particular game and want in-game help or something, so you can talk them through it whilst they play or help them get it if you're both in need of it. I know there are already acheivement trading threads but people get acheivements and remain on the list, and most people seem to ignore previous posts and post their gamertag and problem. This way it could be more up to date as people could remove themselves from the list when they have got the acheivement.

There isn't much to suggest as everything is good as it is! The only thing I might like to see is in the Though 1000's why they are though?? Are they though because they just take a lot of time or because the achievements are very hard???

How about a listing of 360 Games based on the difficulty of their achievements? For example . . . on a 1 - 10 rating scale . . . Avatar = 1, NBA2K6 = 2, Guitar Hero 3 = 9 . . .

I haven't actually gone too deep into the site yet . . . maybe this already exists?

I've been browsing the site for awhile before joining, and I'd like to see ratings on just how hard achievements are to get in a game. Spot the easy and the hard from the list, and more accessible ratings on the game's achievement difficulty to complete overall.

It'd also be neat to add some more award badges related to achievements, I've seen a couple but being able to show off getting a notorious achievement would be neat, no to mention help users spot those who've managed to get it and ask for advice on how to get it themselves. Things like: Suffered Through Sonic Retail - completed sonic retail. Xbox killer - got 7 day survivor in dead rising.

This site is easily the best achievement site online, so it took me a bit to think of anything that might improve upon the formula. The only thing I came up with is placing a link to any forum guides tied to achievements ON the achievement list so that people browsing over said list can simply hop straight to the guide without delving into the forums.

I think it'd be a good idea if we had online/offline colour coded achievements on the games lists. For example, in Gow, have all campaign based achievements green, and all online achievements orange. Either that or having one's "Checklist" updated automatically.

I'd change the printable achievement lists. If you have ticked an achievement off in "My Achievements" as earnt, I'd like a check box that allows you to exclude that achievement from the list if you print the achievement list again.

This would mean that the printable version of the achievement guide can be reduced in size and would also benefit those who may have already earnt some of a games' achievements before they print the list out.

As many have said, the site is great as it is. A couple of small things to consider might be an award for senior members so that you can tell their status just be looking at 'em. Also, it may be helpful to have a thread in the various game boards as well as the general board (where necessary) to explain commonly used terms or acronyms. This way, someone new to the Rock Band board and Rock band in general can quickly look up that FC means Full Combo.

But both are incredibly minor thoughts. Great job and congrats to X360a! :)

First of all congratulations to the administrators/moderators. Reaching this milestone is mostly reflective of your leadership ability. Several forums have come and gone in the past due to arrogant staff members. Clearly you guys know what you want to do, and have a good way of getting it done.</brown-nosing>

Ok, so I have hundreds of suggestions, and I would have listed them all in the feedback, only I think you guys might get tired of me ranting on about my ideas, and I'd rather not get an infraction or simply have you guys all hate me. However, this gives the opportunity for me to share with you another idea. There are several people, I've noticed, making custom signatures for others. I think you guys should have monthly or bi-monthly design contests, and allow awards to be given. Now, another cool/unique thing to do would be to allow the previous month's winner to design the award that will be used site-wide for a full month, or until another winner is chosen and another award is created.

If Member007 wins February's contest, then they have the rest of Feb. to design the award. It will be used the full month of March. Then the winner of March will design the award for April, etc.

1) I was thinking about a "Medal of Honor" Medail - This would be for people who were REALLY good for the site, like doing alot of things or something special.
2) Organize some game days just for fun, It will get the comunnity nice :) Its not that u have to go to those things but that there is a oppertunity. We got now over 500.000 Members so enough ppl online I think ;)
3) Don't delete some games from the retail list!! People work hard to make a guide and now ur deleting that.. You could make something like this, Retail Games and then that u can choose between Genre's like Shooter just like on the Forum... Its easy to use and u can find ur game faster and easier.

This is what I was thinking about when you asked for a suggestion. This would be great to have whether it was automated or not.

Congratulations on your achievements! This is by far the best site of its kind.

:p Hey its your best friend infradude. I gotta say this website is the best achievement site. Not lyin or anythin. I look at this site every day.

As for a suggestion make more contests. Just kidding you guys make too many contests as it is. Uhm let me think. Alright um. uhhh. You guys are pretty much perfect as it is so don't let this site go down the drain and keep doing a great job! I want that x360a tshirt. :woop:

My suggestion is make the achievement guides more like walk throughs for some games.
Example: When you go around this corner you'll see barnacles and some barrels to get your barnacle bowling achievement.

Great job, i remenber when i found this site, i fell for it in heart beat my sugestion is:
Think of a way to show the more recent forum threads a soon as you enter the site like in a small box in a side just let the title of each show up. I can see a lot of people getting into the posting life if they see a title that they are atracted to.
And another advise is if it ain't broken don't fix it keep that in mind and keep up the good work

Some kind of interaction with mygamercard.net (for example), like automatically reading your achievements would be cool! And don't fix what's not broken!

Congrats on putting together the best and most useful achievement site out there!

As for a suggestion, how about a simple user rating system for the games? There could be several categories from overall enjoyment to ease of achieve points. Just a thought.

One thing I would like to see is something like mygamercard.net has.. Where it keeps all your stats from your games on there without having to update them yourself. it would be amazing if "my checklist" would automatically update on its own.. Awesome site though I'm glad to be a small part of it...

This is easily the best achievement site out there.

One suggestion is more video tutorials embedded in the guides; the ones that have this are extremely helpful.

Also, I think it would be great if the site would check our gamercard to find the achievements we've unlocked, rather than having to check them ourselves.

Anyway, thanks for all you do!

second: Private Forum for selected members, rather than just veteran members. it's easy to post, but being picked is much better.

First off, Let me say "Congrats!" to the staff of x360a. This has been an awsome site since the beginning, and it is by far one my favorite websites. Keep up the good work.

As for suggestions, I would say that don't break what is not broken, you have a great system going on, don't change it too much. I would love to see more reviews and maybe some video reviews too. I also agree with one poster in this thread who suggested gaming nights, where every night of the week, members can get together to play a certain type of games. I hope these suggestions help you guys out for the future of x360a.

Congrats to the website!

As for a suggestion, I think it would be interesting to experiment with a wiki-style format for achievement guides. Many of the guides could use a bit of a cleanup, and it would be good to have a system where guides could be continually altered as new information about the achievements becomes available.

It wouldn't surprise me if this has already been suggested, but there it is.

The site is awesome as is, but I would love to see a Wiki-esque sort of guide editing, everyone on the site could contribute to them, and some of the mods, or a table of senior member/editors can review them every once in a while and approve their content. That would be cool so you wouldn't have to search through the piles of forums for the answer you need, you can just make a quick check on the wiki to find what is needed.

Thanks for such a great site,

Here's my suggestion, I think you should allow users to comment or leave feedback on the different achievements so if there is a really tough one (Say a COD 4 Veteran Achievement) People can leave feedback on how they did it and I really think with so many people commenting on the different achievements then along with the guides, achievements will be easier to achieve

We have a great forum that I've been visiting for a while, though i haven't made an account to post until recently, very helpful guides in the retail games archive and a some good threads in the forums regarding quick and hard 1000s.
My suggestion: to even further extend the connection between retail game section and forum by adding a link to a discussion thread for the achievement difficulty for that game and once an agreement has been reached, the difficulty should be added to the retail game achievement guide so we don't have so many threads of people asking "how long does it take" " is it easy" most of these discussions sadly take place in their own thread, while we all know there is always an "achievement discussion" thread in every game's specific forum.

I only have one change and that is to change the eligibility to get on the ranking lists I read a lot of the forums but I never have to put in my 2 cents cause someone else always makes my point. I registered a while back but I don't post cause either someone asks the same question and I get my answer that way. or I search before I post since people tend to yell when a post is already created and people hassle you because you didn't look.

Ive seen alot of video guild for achievement suggestions, that would helpful, but also a picture guild would help when doing (exp, Assassin's Creed's flags).

But what would be fun would be a place in your profile to put real good pictures in, like not full size pictures, but a size just right, show off your halo 3 carnage, or just some pic's or games you cant wait to get. along with a descripion to explain what the picture means. Also the pictures you have can also be commented on...

The site is awesome.... some of the things id like to see is video walkthrough's, and achievement leaderboard's for like prizes.... not just overall achievements but single game achieves so it will kind of be like a race whenever a new game comes out you post a contest and whoever gets the most achieves on that particular game in the amount of time given wins a prize or like a trophy that can go on your online profile on this site..kind of like this site make its own achievements for doing achievement's im kind of rambling on but i got lots of ideas... 1. Put a easy to find link that goes dirctly to achievments on top of the site Next to The "home" and "forum" buttons on top of the site

2. You could aslo put videos nest to the harder achievements to make it even better. These kind of videos are easy to find on youtube and It's an good task for members to make to improve the site.

3. You could also add a degree of difficoulty (Spelling?) to all games so people would know just about how hard / easy the achoevments are

But i just wanna add at the end, don't do any major changes as the site kicks ass just the way it is =)

Awesome site.

My suggestion is kind of hard to explain.

You make it so that whenever someone gets an achievement that X360A updates the list and it says something like...

"*XBL GT* - *Achievement Received* - *Time Upon Receiving*" or other stuff.

So basically whenever you get an achievement the list (maybe on the side of the home page, bottom of the homepage or a whole new page) will update with your gamertag, the achievement you got, when you got it (date and time) and maybe other things like how many other people have it or if you are the 1st, 4th, 103rd, etc. to get it.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the great site, keep all the good achievement guides and stuff coming!

EDIT: This could possibly only be for X360A members and it could be used to have achievement/gamerscore contest as well.

My Suggestion : Would be to hold a once a month Community Night. We all get together and try and play without eachother. Some how we figure out who was apart of it and we give them an award for attending it. Like we did for the NBA Live 06 but this isn't for achievements it's to interact with the people more.
