Carnal/Heroic upgrades

So I just started the game on Thane difficulty today. I decided to do the heroic upgrades/index on this playthrough. Then I'll do carnal for legendary.

Anyway, I'm near the end of Episode 5 and I only have 9 Heroic upgrade things.
I know I need 56 to fully max it out. So my question is, is there a certain amount I should be aiming for on each level? Is it hard to get 56 by the end of the game?
It seems that way to me because every time it adds up my heroic kills, heroic storms, thane kills, etc, I end up getting only one upgrade.

You will only get one Heroic Symbol at those stages.
But if you kill a boss on Heroic Storm you will get 7 I think.
THen everytime you go to Grendals Mothers lair and she tries to seduce you last about 2 minutes or more and you will get 9 Heroic Upgrades.

The key to it is making sure you last 2 min on the temptress part. Then make sure you finish bosses and such off in heroic. You should be maxed right after the last tempting, if done correctly. If not then beat Hela Heroic. Good luck!

does the first time u meet her count? cuz i did it in a minute twenty seconds(goin for carnal or whatevs its called) and i got 0 points in carnal, i havnt begun act 5 yet i just unlocked legacy. if anyone knows that would be great

So I just beat the troll before episode 10 where you have to use the thanes to shut the doors to stop the enemy attacks. I have got 10 heroic medals, I have yet to fight the wolf. My question is am I going to be screwed going for the rise of the king achievement as I have not beat any trolls or anything in heroic storm? I am just getting one heroic medal per fight right now, and my next question is how do you time it if they don't have a health bar? I am assuming this is for bosses that have health bars as I should be okay because I have only defeated grendel thus far and you have to use carnal on him in order to pick up the pillars. Thanks in advance for the response.

ok this is the best advice i can give you and trust me it is accurate because i have played this game for far too long! ok on certain stages you only get 1 heroic medal, but at the end of the episode you get to the stats screen and it shows your kills and point totals for carnal and heroic; you can use carnal fury and kill people if you are having trouble, but make sure that you don't use a lot! just go through the game getting normal combo kills (mostly) and using heroic storm when it is given! on boss fights like the wolf, hela, do not defeat them using carnal fury as that will give you 7 carnal medals instead of 7 heroic medals if you defeat them in your normal state! and for the temptation levels like stated above, try to last more than two minutes in order to receive 7 heroic medals! hoped it helped and sorry for the long explanation, but i felt i needed to make this very clear!
