I am stuck, please help...

I am in a level where there's lot's of guards and i use stealth to avoid them.

I am at the part where i run through the sewer, then i see two chests and that's where i turn left and then climb up, that's where i'm stuck, there are two gates which are both closed, how do i open the gate?

Earlier in the sewer pipe there was an opening on the left side (in the long stretch of pipe before you get to the part where you have to cross a large hole on boards)

Go through and hop onto the boxes beside the barn. Jump up to the hold in the barn and pull yourself in. Sneak across the beams to get to the other side and find a bell you ring to open the gate you are having trouble. with.

I am at this level too. I am where you are supposed to shoot the bell to open up the gate...I cross the boards and open the door covering the bell but when I shoot the bell with and without magic it still does nothing....Anyone have the same problem or can help?

I had the same problem. Did you alert any of the guards at the beginning of the level? If you did, I think you have to kill all the guards before ringing the bell. I made the same mistake. I rang the bell several times and the gate never opened. When I finally killed all the guards around the barn and then rang the bell, the gate finally opened. And I made the mistake of alerting the gaurds at the very beginning of the level. So I think that is why from then on, you have to kill all the guards before you proceed. When I play back through it on normal, I will try to take the stealth route to test my theory out.
