Help New York City Act 2

I'm stuck. It's in New York Act 2 where there is a laser barrier and in the middle there are 2 people in a shielded sphere. How do I have to disapear the barrier? I threw cars and the dumpster (where the coin is) at the barrier, I used invincible woman, I threw fireballs,... no luck. :confused:
