Case 1 - Can't Click on Evidence!!!

Ok, so I'm working on the first case, and I'm at the second trip to the Tribal Leader House, I think it's called. Well, after I finish interrogating the blonde chick, I'm supposed to be able to look at the window and pick up a matchbook. Well, I see the matchbook, but I can't pick it up! Also, I am supposed to be able to go into the room that connects to the kitchen, but I can't enter that room, either! And just to prove that I did everything and still something's screwy, I found an insect that you can pick up to take to Grissom, but I can't click on it, either... I'm very irritated because I wanted to finish this game quickly, but it seems like it won't be as quick a 1000/1000 as I hoped due to this little screw-up. Anyone know what's wrong? I tried leaving and coming back, too, so that's not it. Do I need a warrant? Any help would be appreciated.

You should go through everything, Make sure all ur items have a tick by them, make sure all the places have ticks on, And then go to everyone and talk to them. If this dont work i think the game has a glitch, I noticed on my bonus items the arrow dont show up, So maby you got a glitch where you cant click stuff.

Same shit here dude, I could NOT get the warrant to search her house, I did 3 guides step by step. I even had a buddy come over who's beaten the game and said it must have glitched or something. Somebody told me its probably a corrupted file and to delete the file but I just sent it back to gamefly, its horrible anyways.

Did you examine all the items you've found?

Use the gloves not the tweezers and make sure the icon flashes green it should be easy.
