Do all the achievements stack?

I know the difficulty does, but do weapon steals and dodges stack even thru death?

I'm not sure if I'd have a definite answer for you, but it appeared like they did for me at least - I had a fair bit of deaths, but I did alot of the dodges and weapon steals when I was in the cave fighting the shadows - good place to do it.

Yes they do.
I started the game on Legend and recieved both achievements when finishing the chapters =]

You'll still need to do 2 playthroughs to get 1000 though.

That is my least favorite type of achievements...non-stackable ones...I hate them more than collectable ones...Hey dude rain what is the reason you need to go through 2 playthroughs? I haven't begun this game yet.

You'll need one playthrough to focus on your Carnal index, and one to focus on your Heroic index.
