Name change question

Hello all. I have changed my name from blackvista to vista x360a, about 5 hours ago. This is my first name change... Hoe long will it take for Xbox.com and MGC/Xbox.com gamercards to acknowledge the change. I have set my name to vista x360a on the site's mini gamercard and it is not showing up. When I sign onto Xbox.com it still shows me as blackvista. Is this normal?

Takes about 10 - 15 minutes for Xbox.com, from past experience. I know 360voice you need to send an email to in order to keep everything, like completed games and all that good stuff. MGC, I think, keeps everything from your old name...and that takes about as long as Xbox.com

Basically, once Xbox.com knows whats what all the other sites will too.

EDIT - Actually, right now might take a tad longer than normal since XBL is fubar.

Vista, bro you picked the worst time to have changed it. Hell I would have waited until LIVE has been issue free for more than a week before changing it. With as many issues as its having right now it could take a while. If you use Liveeye you'll need to PM Squidpunch on 360friendspot to have him change your info over also. I'm not sure about MGC though, also make sure you let Wreckon know if you're still in the GSL. ;)

Glad to see the "x360a" in your tag Vista my boy! You'll know when it's up. Your mini Gamercard under your Username hasn't appeared yet. When it does appear, that's when everything should be back to normal.

When I changed my tag during the summer it took an hour. But A friend of mine changed his 2 days ago roughly a day before you during this xbox issue stuff and it took him about early this morning for it to be in full effect so I guess by tomorrow it should be good since all this trouble going down at xbox live.

It shouldn't take more than half an hour. But considering the major server lag recently I don't know. Could take less, could be days.
