Does anybody thinks it worth 800 Microsoft Points to change your gamertag? I've been thinking of changing it lately to x Hamburl3r x and I don't want to spend $60 to get a new Gold Account.

Oh yeah, 800 Microsoft Points is about $12.40 in Canada.

I would. I changed mine and I am glad I did. Just make sure to pick a good one. Also it isn't that much money. Around $9 or $10 US Dollars.

I think Microsoft should've given a free name change and charge for any changes after that.

I just figured out why they charge you. Theres only like 1 or 2 guys that actually change the names. And when you change your name, they have to make a whole new account for you.

Yea that sucks, I dont really think it's worth it because all the people you normally play with are used to the name and know you by it then you change it and WTF is that? :p

I personally have used my Gamertag for Online gaming for YEARS...
(Mostly in UT2K3 and UT2K4)
It always seemed pretty original and there is just something Very appealing about my name...LoL

Anyways,
The only reason I would ever use the Namechange feature is if I joined some type of 360 clan or something. Other than that Its one feature I'll never take advantage of..
*Just my view on the subject*

Ps ~ I agreeHelacool360 if you change your name then basically your friends have to re-recognize you ALL over (which COULD get complicating for you buddies) ...}{a}{a

This is what I was going to do if I ever joined a clan, but lately, lots of people online have been making fun of my name cause it says Penguin. Of course i own them, but it still pisses me off.

I think Penguins are cool.. you should keep it. Pay no attention to the Noobs out there. Its a shame you coulnt have Mr Penguin in the end.

Sorry, but that is not right. I work at Microsoft. (And EB for all you people who are going to say, NO YOU WORK AT EB). It is a computer that does it. When you change your gamertag it will change right away. it cost 800 points becuase the computer that does it cost a lot of money.
