UMMMMM... Its would be shit just like arsenal. LoL. MSGS 2 i got for £2.50 and it was the biggest waste of money ever as 5 mins later it was in the bin!!!!!

Best non xbox game will be Resi Evil 5 although it looks more like dead rising than Resi evil. Just wish it was sooner as the march release date is all but fucked now til 09.

Not entirely. They'll still have God Of War and that's about it. I heard awhile back it was already confirmed it was coming to the 360 but since then I've heard there's no chance in hell Sony is gonna give up the rights to this game and it will never be made for the 360. I guess we just gotta wait and see what will eventually happen...

Still possibilites of it coming to 360, for as much money as it's taking to make the game, they're chance to make a real decent profit on it is to release it on the 360 as well. There's been a lot of hints, but we have no idea yet. If it is released on the 360, it'll be awhile after the PS3 one is launched..

This game is so good that sony will make sure it is a ps3 exclusive. Even if they have to pay big bucks for that. As much as I would love to see it on the xbox360, I doubt it will make it.

Never say never. Just look what happened with Grand Theft Auto. That was a just as big, if not bigger franchise for Sony than Metal Gear Solid and the 360 still ended up nabbing it.

I have to admit, the only two franchises that keep tempting me to get a PS3, are Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy. :p

If MGS4 does eventually come to 360, then I suppose I could live without the Final Fantasy franchise; mainly due to the improving quality of the 360's RPGs. :D

I believe Square Enix may be planning to make future game for the 360 as well as the PS3 to increase profits. They already made 2 for 360, FF11 and Project Sylpheed which was a 360 exclusive. There have been rumors about FF13 coming to the Xbox but so far Square has yet to comment. Chances seem good though that future Square titles will meet with the 360.

Yeah, Square gave 360 some ass games.

As for this, I won't have high expectations. It's just a rumor so I'm not going to get wet dreams about this plus not the biggest MGS fan. If it ever happens, good for Microsoft. We know for sure though that MGS4 will eventually sell more copies on the PS3 mainly because Sony has a bigger fan base in Japan and the 360 is doing just plain awful there.

I wont get it either way..unless for some REALLY STRANGE reason it has easy achievements..I havn't liked any of the other ones..
but this would be the knock out blow for the PS3..God of War would be the killing blow. I think that is the halo of playstation..I hear about that game from non gamers!

God of War? as big as halo? no its good and im not comparing them i like god of war but its no where near as popular as halo. but ya im a huge fan of mgs series I seriously hope it comes to the 360 that way i dont have to pony up some serious cash to play it.

Yeah but when RE4 was announced for the PS2 the director of it (can't remember his name) said he'd rather kill himself than let it go multi-platform and look what happened.

same here cause my xbox doesnt go online and im gettin my ass nailed by ripping out cords from my wall when i walk by em my ethernet going into my comp travels 10 feet or 12 straight back through my room and the other one goes off to the left at the beginning so its a bit messy and to make it better my dvd player has no fast forward menu backwards or anything not even a remote just on open and stop for buttons

my friends brought his to my other friends house last night was good fun

and we'd be hella lucky to get MGS over to 360 though it would make 360 jus overpower the ps3 because all i do see on that system is god of war but all we can do is hope it makes it over

um i read the article on the site, and im pretty sure it didnt say anything about bringing MGS to the 360, there talking about making a game alot like MGS to compete with it not getting rights to it. i guess no one actually read it.

ya i know but i think most people are just hoping and saying hopefully it will come to the 360 but ya i read it took it just said they were impressed but nothing about it being ported to the 360. but hey we can all dream.

Hideo Kojima is a guy who sticks to his original plan, his orininal plan is to make it a ps3 exclusive. MGS2 only came to the xbox because Konami got some cash from microsoft. Konami is only distributing MGS4 so they have no rights to accept money from microsoft to bring it to the 360. MGS4 is being developed by Kojima Productions so Konami have no rights whatsoever.

If Hideo Kojima is changing his mind (a thing he never does) this game could end up on the 360 but for now my Ps3 is collecting dust untill the release of MGS4.

I'd rater see a remake of Snatcher or Zone of the enders for the PS3.

Btw, Wikipedia and imdb are writing that Hideo Kojima is writing a script for a movie. That would totally rock.

Yeah I know Square have said that Final Fantasy will be exclusive, but was just saying that will do wonders for 360 and it will definately beat PS3 in terms of sales.

Any new sequels (XIII for example) will belong to Sony and the "Spin-Offs or Remakes" will pretty much belong to every other console/system.

Now if anyone can find the Gamespot article I mentioned in the other thread, it could improve the list of sources!Its from the Tokyo Game Show in 2007 where the Kojima team actually discuss the possibility of porting MGS4 to the xbox, and joking about their 'rumble guy' having nothing to do since Dual Shock 3 had'nt been announced yet.

I still don't know if I'll get the PS3 this summer for MGS4 or if I should wait for the xbox version. Apparently (and I do mean it) the main issue for MGS4 moving to the xbox is the lack of space on HD DVD or wtvr compared to Blu Ray. The same happened with GTA:IV but I doubt it now.

We can all celebrate once it is officially confirmed by Microsoft AND Konami!

That's from May 17th 2007. It's not official or the big sites like IGN and Gamespot would have had articles posted up. Also the second source was just stating that Metal Gear Online was combined with MGS4 for PS3. Please will you all just let it die. It's a rumour that has been going on forever. Until an official statement has been made by Microsoft or Konami, I will not believe this hocus pocus on these sites.

Exactly Ive been doing some searches its still just a rumor nothing is really gonna be announced until most probably Q2 when the game will be in full effect of being releases. Until we'll just have to wait and be patient.

Precisely. Kojima himself already stated he would prefer to keep the MGS4 exclusively for the PS3. The problem is, Konami can deny him that and make it multi-platform. My reasoning though is, they wouldn't want to displease Kojima and not being able to publish his titles. If I recall correctly, Kojima is working on an IP for the 360 already.

It's one never ending rumour. You must also consider how long it would take to port the PS3 version to the 360 version. There's obviously difficulties and complexities with the game right now or they wouldn't have delayed it again. If it's being released Q2 2008 for the PS3, when is it coming for the 360? Q2 2100? Okay, so I exaggerated a tad bit. It's not as easy porting from the PS3 to the 360 considering their different CPU structures. If it were that easy, then UT3 wouldn't have been put on hold for the 360.

For years discussion in the IGDA from various FF fans has brought this up. From what has been said before, Squenix has been trying to get out from under sony for a bit now, after realizing how big of a cash cow they are. Squenix has been under contract with sony to make games for them up to FFXIII in the main final fantasy franchise. They've been wanting to branch out for years, and are starting to do so with other franchises. rumors of Kingdom Hearts on other systems are common, as well as more main stream Dragon Quest sequels. In a business sense, it's silly to stick to only Sony, so it's really only a matter of time.
As for MGS4, while they are claiming exclusive to the PS3 now, money is a huge factor in the gaming industry now days, as sad as it is. If the PS3 doesn't move enough copies with the production costs of the game, they would be foolish not to port it over to the other more popular systems or risk a shortcoming in profits. With newer games more pulling to Japanese gamers coming out on the 360, it's only more reason to believe it may jump ship.

MGS4 was built around the DS3. I am unsure if Kojima would actually port it over to the 360; he seems pretty happy with the future of the PS3, same with Naughty Dog, makers of Uncharted. If the sales bomb for the game, which I doubt will happen, then I see a chance for Microsoft, but this is a huge exclusive for Sony. It still is a great system; I love playing UT3 and Warhawk (PHENOMENAL).
