After I sent in my Xbox 360, and I start playing my very new repair xbox 360. Its start making a weird noise and start to over heat badly? I just got my xbox back on Christmas Eve. "yea it was nice to wake up with Fedx at your door around 7am with your xbox" ;) Anyways I start to play it and I notice a weired sound coming back it. I turn it off and back on and it got louder then it never stop. So I just tune it out, and I start playing a little of Ncaa 07 Football and it never stop. Then I walk over to see how hot it was getting. It never had been as hot before. So i start wounding should I call xbox live back? What should I do?

Is it throwing the RROD? I'm not sure how they'll respond to it but its worth to call them and make them aware of it. They may have you send it back to them, but tell them you want something for your troubles, a game or headset or something. ;)

Call and see what they say, if they don't do anything about it then just play it until you break it. :p

what I was gonna say, call if anything try to create the RRoD by over heating if it doesn't go away so you can send it back.

Play it and overheat it. Then give MS Support shit. Trust me it will work. Demand a better product... I have been fed up with them lately, my friend gets an elite a week later it breaks! It is ridiculous.

Just an FYI, you didn't get your old console back, just a refurbished system.
Either call up MS and see if they'll replace it now, or play it until it dies and then make them replace it.
Not much else to do.

I would call and give them shit... I mean if that is the second time...
One thing I hate that xbox did... was not let gamestop sell the warrentys for it anymore.... That is the stupiest thing ever... they just want to deal with it... People buy there 360 to play not to have it fuck up and send it to them and have to wait 2 weeks or more... If I buy something I want it when I want it not when xbox is ready to give it to me...
SO basically call them and make them give you something free with it... or give you a new console...

Thank you, for that helpful post.
I say just try to get RRoD and get it to them, while you are doing that get a job and get money for games while you wait. :p

If you have the extra dough, by an arcade console. They have the new falcon chipset and supposedly don't overheat, or break down as easily as the core or pro systems.

The falcon chipset has a 65nm CPU but still has the larger 90nm GPU. The GPU has been the leading cause of overheating, this is why even the new consoles still have issues. Soon the Jasper will be released which will have both 65nm processors, that should greatly decrease the heat emitted from them and use less power.
When it comes to a console overheating there are a few variables involved. If you place your console on the carpet, on top of a surround sound receiver or any other electronic component you're asking for trouble; especially if its in an enclosed cabinet. Those are "no-nos" so make sure you stay away from doing any of that and you shouldn't have overheating issues unless an internal in your console really does have an issue.

Will all of the new consoles have the Jasper chipsets?

At some point, but we're talking MAYBE this time next year. A lot of it depends on when ATI gets in gear and produces the 65nm Xenos GPU, right now its slated for fall 2008.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Gamestop actually stopped offering the warranty of their own accord because so many Xbox's were RRODing that they were losing money on them. It had nothing to do with MS forcing them to stop from what I know.
But more on topic, I'm happy to say the the refurbed one I just got in the mail runs quieter than my old one. I think you got a refurbed lemon and should wait for it to die or kill it with the towel technique and then give Tech support hell for it.

My first system was giving me constant dirty disc errors, as did my second one, but my third one appears to be a charm. I haven't had any issues with it yet. Maybe your third will be a charm as well, I'd call them and send it back again.
