2 days after Christmas, a year and 2 days exactly since I had my 360. It gets RROD after showing no signs of it. No freezing or anything, it was in a great area and I followed all of the steps to keep it in good condition.

On Christmas, I got CoD4 and Viva Pinata for a relax game. Now I can't play those or anything else or even talk to my buddies online for 2 weeks and they have no clue that my 360 died because it freezes on the big X screen when you turn it on.

What should I do? Are there any major alternatives to wait for this while it gets fixed? Here are some solutions that I have started but it still doesn't get over my obsession of my achievements:

-reading Mangas
-Wii (I got it for Christmas)
-I would play with friends but all of them are out of town. One of them does get home soon though so maybe we'll hang out for the rest of the week.

Do you guys know anything else? I tried to think of a place where I could play on someone's 360 but I came up with nothing. *sob* I miss playing my 360 games...

you can tell them that it got the RRoD on xbox.com and just sit back and enjoy your Wii, lately Ive been playing more Wii then 360 but my 360 fine. You'll survive if you have good Wii games if not then I dont know what to tell you.

I'm sure the Wii can consume a lot of your empty time. As for talking to your Xbox Live friends, can you not go to xbox.com, go to your Gamertag, and message them from there? You'll still be able to talk and respond to them; it may not be voice chat, but it's still something.

Also, remember to stick around x360a. That can take up a lot of your time. ;)

Don't worry about calling them, I did that right after it broke down. My Wii is keeping me preocupied but I miss talking to people on my profile and collecting achievements. I only have 3 games on the Wii so far. Has anyone else had any bad stories about the RROD that they would like to talk about?

Also, I heard that apparently MS replaces 360's with faulty ones when you get RROD because a lot of people get faulty ones when they get them fixed. Is this true because if that is true, the box hasn't arrived yet and I'd much rather find an alternative to that?

Edit: Ya, I was thinking about Xbox.com but when I tried signing into my GT, it said the e-mail was under something else and then I tried to register it onto a different email but somehow it forced me to make a new GT that was the name of the email. (I don't know how it did that with nothing known about the email)

what Wii games do u have.

As for the faulty 360's I wouldn't know but doubt it.

So far I have (Wii games):
Wii Sports if you count that...
-Super Paper Mario (I don't play that often)
-Mario & Sonic Olympics
-Mario Galaxy

I play Olympics and Galaxy the most so those are the occupiers right now. I just miss playing some GH3, CoD4, Naruto, most of my favorite games are on my 360. I love my Wii games too but just knowing I can't play those other games for a while makes it worse and not to mention I'd rotate about 5+ different games per day so only limited to a couple makes it a little less entertaining.

another thing that can keep you occupied is sleep a lot... that is what I would do...

Well those games on the wii will surely keep you occupied.

Buy Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii.

You can't go wrong with RPG's if you want some time consumed. ;)

My xbox 360 die, a year after having it. But it was acting up before it went out. But it suck so bad. Cause it went out a week before I got my two weeks off from College, I was hoping to hit my 20k on my gamer score. But I did get my 360 back on Christmas Eve. It was a very nice to have a early Christmas without having a club it was gonna be in. Anyway my 360, isn't the one I sent in and the new one is acting up more. Its making a loud noise and over heating really badly. I very upset with Microsoft right about now. I hate talking to them people over shit like this. So i gonna to let my mom get a hole of them this time. It been in the shop two time now, and I very upset. Getting sick of it. My mom can be a BIG @$$ when she needs to be. So Microsoft isn't gonna be to happy. After her movie go off LOL.. Maybe sound like a little kid. But they something, you parent can do a lot better then you can, and that is to bitch LOL... But I hope you fine something to do with your time. It gave me and my girl a lot time together and everything. She was hoping it got lost in my mail :( LOL anyway Good luck

Get a job, get money, and then buy games when you get your xbox back. Same advise I gave to the other kid. :p

If you have some money sitting around I'd recommend picking up an Arcade, hooking up your HDD and game on! That's what I did when mine just went out. I haven't actually tried returning the Arcade I picked up since I just got my replacement in the mail yesterday but I'll let you know how that goes when I do.

Thanks for the replies guys but there is one major problem to a couple of them. I'm 13 so:
-I can't really get a job yet (I have a minor babysitting one but not often)
-I don't have a girl (most of the girls in my grade can't hold a weeks relationship so I don't even bother with that BS)

And no, I'm not coming onto my friend. If you knew me, you'd know for a fact I am close to the farthest from the guy section... Me and my friend have been good buds since elementary so we hang out all of the time.

I've also picked up into my DS too. I'm not so worried about my Xbox but I want it out of here so it doesn't stare me down at my computer desk. The box should be here tomorrow, it probably would have gotten here today but it's a Sunday (this is why I hate the mail).

This last week really won't be bad. Once school starts, the last 1-2 weeks without my Xbox will go by faster and then I can go back to cramming weekends. I've done a lot more around the house and done stuff other than gaming so the RROD had a couple of positive effects I guess... =/

Good news! The box came in today so were gonna mail it out first thing tomorrow morning. Now the miserable part is over with because the Xbox is out of the house, not staring me down everyday. Today it finally got RROD again, it was originally just freezing at the X screen after getting RROD but now it wouldn't even play on the TV. *sigh* I'm praying it's gonna be alright once I get it back.
