hi.
well i have had 3 different headsets and they keep breaking ,so when my last headset started to echo all the time i reached into my mobile/cell box took out the hands free kit and pluged it into my xbox pad and WOW it works and i have no echo and it works fine..ok cant adjust the sound on the hands free kit but i ca go into settings and change it there
so dont bother paying for a xbox360 headset just go out and buy a mobile/cell headset
and they only cost about £5/$7
u can get them for about $3/£2

Yea I'm on my 2nd headset. The first one that came with the system broke and I had to hold the cord at a certain position to work. Microsoft sent another in 2 days time:)

My first 2 Microsoft Xbox ones broke, so I spent $20 on a Plantronics one and it works fine.

That is a great idea, ive had 3 headsets 1 broke, 1 was irepairably (sp) damaged in an unfortunate tea drinking incident! and my 3rd is starting to crackle so i may just give this a go

I stopped using the official Xbox headsets a while ago since they hurt and break so easily. I bought the Plantronics Halo 2 headset a while ago and I absolutely love it. Its comfortable and sounds fine. Only problem is that now I cant mute or adjust the volume. I was thinking about taking the "controller" piece found on the new 360 headsets and soldering it onto my Plantronics. That or buying the new wireless headsets theyre coming out with.

I don't use mine much. I plan on buying the wireless mini one when it comes out. Getting tired of it being a pain to put places.

Yet another reason I dont want to buy the Xbox Live Vision. :nana
But yea the headset is awesome, you can actually lean your head against something since it doesnt wrap around the back like the old ones.
