So lets say you get Call of Duty 4, there are a ton of online challenges, and I mean a ton. So you wouldn't consider that game completed until every challenge is unlocked? Thats interesting... and hard! I always view completionists as getting 1000 GS in a game, regardless if they did everthing or not.

I was going to play the game itself. Avatar is the only show I ever watched on Nickelodeon that actually had a somewhat developed plot. After seeing how easily the achievements are to unlock though I decided against it. I simply can't play a game that disgraces my honor with its crap achievements!

I played it for fun, I may be an achievement whore but I also love playing through games for the fun of it, if they are bearable. This game wasn't THAT bad, not great but not the worst. Some of the bosses can get annoying with cheap attacks, but nothing too challenging. I've never watched the show, so I was lost through the entire story, it only made a little sense to me. It's good for a laugh at the terrible voice acting, rarely moving lips, and odd physics glitches that can happen. The rolling log suddenly stopping and flying forwards at light speed from a physics engine hiccup was pretty damned funny I must say, as are enemies walking in thin air, only to fall through the floor and die when they get back to solid land. It's only a couple of hours to beat, and helps to make you feel you actually earned something from the easy achievements.

You do realise some achievements in games are not tied in well with say the story or 100% completion progress. I consider those factors completion.

My reply is very late but I consider finishing a game with an ending (which Avatar has) the true way to finish a game. I consider 1000/1000 a secondary goal I want to achieve

I know this is a thread for an entirely different game, ... but I can relate to Sting, in that I like to complete games 100% not every game, some I just get the 1000 then never touch again, but with COD4 --- I might just do that . As in I may just go for getting every challenge... getting every gold gun... going through prestige as many times as possible...

if you want to truly 100% complete CoD4
you would need 1000 gamerscore
then you would not only have to lvl up to lvl 55, but 10 times.
You woul need 10th presitge lvl 55, all challenges completed, all gold guns, 1000gs
then you would be done

I think this would fall under "for fans only" for someone to enjoy a game like this. I'm a fan of the show but am always weary of tv/movie related games. I've never played this but IF/when I do I will finish the game just to see if it adds anything to the overall Avatar experience.

mostly everyone brought this game only to play the 2 week beta and then leave in the case or sell it for some cash and it went on to sell 1.5 million copies in the fist 6 months. So yeah the easy 1000 gs i think was intentional so it would boost game sales that just my opinion though.

To be honest, I have heard that this game is really bad outside of the 4 minute 1000 gs. Gamefly should have this game and Lost to me within the next 2 days or so. My plan is to shove this game in, load up on the gs, take it out, and never scar my eyes with it again. I'm not sure if it is that bad, but the reviews I have read say that it is... Weill I'll always have Lost to put in next. Thankfully it's only sub-par by what I have heard, not horrible. I'll use the guide on this website, load up on this game's 1k, then pop both into my mailbox the following day before the mail lady comes to deliver the mail.

But really, you ask this question on a website dedicated to achievements. Of course the majority of us will suffer through bad games for easy points, and nothing more than easy points.

I know for a fact that lots of people played crackdown and enjoyed it. Though the beta might have help boost the sales.

As for Avatar, I think it might be the most-rented game ever.

Got the game through gamefly for the 1000K. Didn't actually check the walkthru and played for a half hour and could not get the last three achievements. Got pissed because everyone said you should be done in 5 min. Checked the boards, watched the walkthru, went back to the game and got the final three ach in 2 minutes. Feel kind of bad about it because it is so easy. Back to COD4 (Mile High Club) and Bioshock now. Bioshock is making up for the lack of time on Avitar though.
