So for Christmas I buy my brother the 360 Arcade and I know I'm going to get a 120 GB Hard Drive for my 360. Just one problem...

I get the Red Ring that day. I was able to transfer the data, but I got the Red Ring and am now preparing to send it off to Microsoft.

Ironic that the week that should be very joyful turns terribly wrong. Extra Ironic since it was the week I bought my bro a 360.

unlucky man, i'm sending mine back in january cos of various errors and stuff that keeps happening e.g. not reading perfectly clean game discs etc that 1 red light error keeps popping up every now and then. argh stupid xbox

This is a very frustrating time to get infamous RRoD. I got mine last Thursday after just getting it back the day before but thanks to Best Buy store warranty I got a brand new 360, the Marvel/Forza bundle, and got a new 2 year warranty since mine was up for only an additional $10 due to the price difference in the 360 now. I highly recommend store warranties.

Honestly if your 360 gets red ring that close to christmas, you should call xbox support and bitch them out so much that they will give you free stuff.

My xbox has only gotten red ring 1 time and that was a while back, but when it did i made sure the people at microsoft knew about it!

I know the feeling. Mine crapped out after just one week of owning it. It also just recently did it again before Thanksgiving this year. If it happens again I'm going to tear them a new asshole and tell them to send me an Elite hehe.

Thing about it is, I didn't have this for a few months and then it crapped. I've had it for over a year and a half and figured I would be fine.

Luckily they did the whole extended warranty just in case this happened.

Good thing my bro has a 360. I'll be offline for a while, but I'll be able to get some points while I'm away.

Yup....I'm on my 5th, and less then a year.
Whats up with the free bundle at Best buy? last time I got 50 bucks cuz of the price difference, so now you get Forza and Marvel free? damn, sucks I own those games already.
