Can't Read Code.

Yea I just went out and bought a MSPT card and got home and scratched off the black stuff with a penny like I always do and the 2nd set of numbers are completely scratched out, like they didn't get printed correctly or something, ... Ive tried making them out but can't. Does anyone know if I call Microsoft will they be able to give me the code.... or could I just return it. (I'd rather get some input before I waste my time on hold or in return line)

I would just return it. I am not sure if they keep track of those numbers. play it safe and bring it back. Next time just scratch it off before you leave the store.

Ohhh I hope he gets it because usually there is a no swap policy on things like that. I hope for the best though but you would think on the companys side they wouldn't take it because you *could* have used it and scratched it out for a chance to get another, even though you didn't.

But yeah, go for it. I hope you get it.

And I use a coin myself, but I scratch very lightly...

LOL that would be so tedious. I'm sure M$ would help you out. If not I suggest verbal and written threats to M$. It's worked for me before (not for this same case.)

Yeah they will have to keep records of that sort of stuff. Keep us updated as this could happen to anyone I guess
