Ok i would like some help here, i have a very low gamerscore 20 infact (got my console yesterday) and cannot decide which games to play to give me a quick boot in gamerscore, i do not have many of the quick 1000s.
Here is what i split between.
1. Halo 3
2. Guitar Hero 3
3. PGR 4
4. The Orange Box
From experience which game would be the easiest to gain a lot of gamerscore in?
Or should i dip in and out of games to get a higher overall gamerscore?

Could get a good 7-800 points on Halo for finishing the game on Legendary with Skulls & Meta-Score.
PGR4 you could get a about the same amount of points as Halo, but will take longer since you need to get Rank #1
The Orange Box could get you probably 500ish just for playing Half-Life 2, Ep1, Ep2 & Portal.
Guitar Hero 3 is not easy points really unless you can already 5* all of expert :)

Out of all those games you have listed none of them are "easy" so to speak. Out of all of those the easiest would have to be halo 3. You can do a co-op legendary skull terminal and random achievement run and get a little over 800 points in a few hours.
If you're looking for some serious points games I suggest a: having lots of cash to buy crappy games or b: get onto a rental plan asap.
Here is a list of games that you can do very quickly and have a high gamerscore in a short amount of time.
Open Season
King Kong
Eragon
Madden 06
Nba 2k6
Nba live 06
Nhl 06

Surf's Up
TMNT
You could do those in less than a week and your gamerscore would be up over 10k. If you ever need anything achievement related don't hesitate to hit me up.

Thanks for the information, (applies to the above poster too) i was looking into a rental plan, i mean why buy a game a game that could take a few hours at best to fully complete and unlock all of the achievements.
Could you recommend a good rental service as there are numerous to choose from, (money is not really a problem)

I would say look on the local level first for example...block buster or hollywood video. The reason is you don't have to wait for the mail, you walk right in and know whats available and i've noticed (at least in my town) that as more people are using the net its becoming easier to get games at the store.
If you're looking for a net plan I would say its a toss up between Gamefly and gottaplay. Gamefly has a bigger selection and lots of neat little reward things and what not. While gottaplay has way faster mailing times.
The rest of them have so many issues at least in my opinion that they're not worth it.

Thanks, i was thinking of BlockBuster from a local standpoint they usually have what i want in stock (perhaps for the reasons you stated) so i will give them a try, however i will probably use GameFly for perhaps some of the older harder to get games.
Thanks for the help.

If you just got your 360, play for fun, welcome to the site, but enjoy your 360 before you start being a gamerscore whore. Halo is fun and easy to get GS along with PGR 4.
Gamefly is a good rental service. You can do a 1 game at a time plan all the way up to a 10 game at a time plan. They have every game, some that a local store wouldnt have.
If you have any qiestions, hit me up via PM on the site, welcome!

Thanks, i aim to have fun whilst gaining achievements, i realise that in order to have a high gamerscore you must play differently (then if you were playing mainly for fun) and am fully prepared, i used to 100% all of my games on the original xbox but now i have proof of my accomplishments ;)

PGR4 is definately the easiest to get achievements in out of those games - you should be able to get around 500gp in around 2 hours.

Go through the career mode mate, you'll eventually get achievements such as 5 wins in a row, earn a 5-star kudos, and also some nice hefty achievement points from ranking up the leaderboard in single player.
Oh yeah and by the way mate, instead of double posting, next time just edit your post and add what you want to that ;)

Arcade mode in PGR 4 is easy too, I got about 400 something in 3 days or about an hour a day.
Just check the guide in the PGR 4 forum
