omg Im not sure what happen but a few days ago i tried to download the halo 3 maps and I CANT

it says that my live account is not permitted to download the maps

just because is rated M dosen't mean that they cant let me download it. What gonna stop kids from playing games that not appropriate for there ages. Well this is not gonna stop it. I check my parents setting and everything, i should have lied and put my ages as over 18. Also i cant see any ads on the dashboard. LOL DAM IT

that sucks. There is a fefault xbox code where you can erase all settings and change them again. I don't know what it is though.

Actually, by preventing younger kids from downloading the maps, it keeps them from playing the new playlists...and in turn it keep our [the elders] ears from bleeding :p

Ya I am 17.. kinda nice that they let us have MSN. but I went to download the F.E.A.R demo and I cant... I have to say I would trade 360 MSN for game downloading any day...

Make a new account, which will automatically have a month of free gold. Make sure you set the age over 18 and you can download whatever you want with it. If it's something you have to pay for though, you'll need to buy more points for the new account. I'm 16 and had to make a new one just to download a demo the other day, bunch of bullshit if you ask me.

Because the games you play on your Xbox are limited by the family settings on the console, as opposed to your age. Even if your console is set up to allow anything with a mature rating to be played, Microsoft has decided for whatever reason that a child account can NOT download M rated content. The reason why? I don't know.
