I think I've got the plot.

Vergil is important to the storyline. His Yamoto is everywhere.

In that trailer you see Dante, Nero, and Agnus wielding Vegil's Yamoto. You even see Agnus open some kind of demon portal with it. Also during Nero's awakening he has Vergil's devil trigger floating behind him.

And yes if you care to pause the movie where you can see the "ghosts" face and compare it to the one scene here "http://dmcfans.mforos.com/1332204/6349365-vergil-devil-trigger-yamato/" (minus the quotes) you see that the faces are identical.

This leads me to three plot devices:
1. Agnus probably needed the blade of a dead son of Sparda to open the portal of ect.

2. Nero's power is somehow derived from Vergil, which would explain Dante's affinity towards him in all the trailers. It's almost as if Dante and Vergil were fighting again.

3. From the scene where the Yamoto is behind re-forged or repaired I can probably infer this. They use Nero's love for Credo's sister Kyrie to trick Nero and reforge the Yomoto to continue Agnus' plans.


Any thoughts? Also that flying machine looked quite awesome.

I never noticed much of a story in the devil may cry games but I guess I was just frustrated playing on the bastardised PS2.

Shit your right, I don't know where I heard that then but I still don't think he'll be in the game the focus just seems to be on new things (Which is a good thing)
