Gamertag linked to e-mail

I'm not sure if i should post here or FAQ. Anyway, my gamertag is linked to an old e-mail address that is no longer active, but everytime i have to do anything xbox related it wants me to put in that e-mail address. then it sends an activation e-mail to that address and i can't activate it, and it says my active e-mail is not link and invalid. so i was wondering if there was a way i can link my gamertag to my active e-mail and how to do it???:confused:

I think this might work... If you go to Marketplace.... and at the bottom where it says... Account management... and click contact Information... It lets you change your email there...

Try it there and see what happens...

i just tried it on xbox.com which is the same thing, i hope it works.

Yeah with the new update you can change your E-mail.

when i registered my gamertag i accidently punched an x instead of a z.

finally i was able to change it after the update.

Everything I try my Gamertag is still linked to a different E-mail address, I've changed all of my contact information to what I want, yet, when I put that E-mail address in, it comes up with my old Gamertag :(
