It would but unfortunatly as we all know, Spiderman games MUST be designed, Playtested, Published and on the shelf within 2 weeks of the original idea being mentioned! Hense the reason why they are soooo badly done! Shame really as the Spiderman concept could potentially be an Awesome series on a top end console! PULL UR FINGER OUT ACTIVITION!!!! lol

Cant say I have ever played a Spiderman game, but I can see that the mechanics behind the free run system could easily be used, just add in the web for swinging and you're away. Now that you mention spiderman, I would really like to see some grappling hook action in coming AC games, maybe launched from a crossbow..... you listening Ubisoft.

I don't think it would except for the climbing up buildings extremely slowly part. Spiderman can jump freakishly far, so he could just jump most of the way up a building or use his little wrist-semen-cannons to pull himself up. Wearing a spidey costume wouldn't make merging into a crowd very easy unless you go to a sci-fi convention in the game or if there was a Peter Parker based level that involves just walking through crowds.

Some parts might work, most of them won't without silly amounts of tweakage.
