I read on a forum elsewhere that XBLA games after the update can only be played from the gamertag that purchased them. Can anyone with more than 1 gamertag confirm this?

*sorry if this may have been posted elsewhere*

Edit: Here is what I read:

"Ok sorry to be posting this, but before the latest update it was possible to play any fully paid for XBLA games from any GT on the system you brought it on (confirmed here http://www.eurogamer.net/forum_threa...777&forum_id=1 (http://www.eurogamer.net/forum_thread_posts.php?thread_id=56777&forum_id=1)) with the latest update that's been disabled! other GT's can see the download and play the trial version but who ever owns the GT will have to pay M$ to play the full game.

Just thought I'd let gamers know"

It should be locked to the system it was downloaded from. My wife has a second account on mine and she played a few arcade games, after the dashboard update, that I bought with my account.

From what I understand from one of Major Nelson's older blogs, the XBLA games are locked to the gamertag that bought them. This way, if you go on vacation, you can recover your profile to a friend's/relative's console, download the game, and have access to the full version. It's tied to you, not the console.

By the same token, however, if you were to do that, the 360 console that you downloaded it to would only have the demo version of that game for all other gamers that had not bought it.

I have a gold account on my 360 which I purchase all my Live Arcade content with. My wife and kids each have a silver account, but have full access to the full versions of all arcade games I have bought. Yes, the games are tied to your gamertag, but if your gamertag is on the machine you are playing the games, EVERYONE has access to the games. For instance, if I take my gamertag on a memory card to a buddies house, and install it on his machine, he should have access to the arcade games as well. If I remove my tag, then yes, the game will revert to only a demo version on his system.
