Assassins Creed Update???

Hey guys

Slapping Assassins creed in to the box this morning it asked me to update!

Anyone know what this update is for?????

yh i just got disconnected from xbox live just now then when i signed back in it just said bout and update was needed looking at some other websites some are reporting this but not actually knowing any information bout it

i will keep having a look around

It might be to fix some problems or any new stuff they might be releasing, if it is i hope its new achievements.

I noticed that for the PS3 the update was to stop frezzing issues, but I've not seen any issues like that on the 360???

Seems very strange? Don't think its new achivements though sadley

I just borrowed AC last night! So I have no idea what this update will do to my small save. Luckily, I'm not far at all, but I think i'm going to play offline for a while to be sure.

Well it seems the offcial site is about as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike as they don't have anything listed on their patchs list at all and when I try and log in to ask a question the site chucks back an error!! Well done ubi, thanks for keeping us up to date!!!

I think this is nothing more than bug fixes, but we'll have to wait and see.....

I have actually experienced AC freezing for me twice so maybe it shares the same problems with the PS3 and hopefully they fixed it, along with the other small bugs.

The only effect that I've seen is that my disc has suddenly become unreadable and there is a funny burn mark on my disc that wasnt their when i put the disc in this morning but I think that is down to the fact that the xbox is a cheeply built pile of shit!!!!

Fuck you M$ for making go through shit like I've never seen in my 25+ years of gaming!!!!! Looks like its console No. 4 for me... oh the joy

I read that the patch was supposed to fix the "unable to read disk error." The funny thing is I had never experienced that one until this morning, and then after rebooting it prompted me to update.....a little bit strange to me.

I wonder if they're also going to fix the glitchy achievements. I didn't apply the update in the hopes that a glitch will happen in my favor. ;)

Yes you can, but it doesn't update your score on xbox.com, but you can still get the achievements, and next time you sign on, it will update them.

Whats strange for me is that I have never had any problems with disc read error until after the update. Wether its related or not, I don't know?

That seems strange, but I'll bet they NEVER come out with any achievements, it just doesn't seem like the type of game that they would do that for.

Im sure 100% its not new achievements its most probably for the glitches and stuff.

i was dropped from a view point onto the building below it, when i hit the top of it my guy looked like he was still falling. had to reboot...

i finished AC so it doesnt affect me really

i was also wondering what this update was about, but i think this update has screwed my game up... i now just randomly fall through buildings, which i never used to do, i jump through grabable ledges, which i never used to, and completely miss them, and every time i load up memory block 5, and get on my horse, i fall through the floor! any ideas on how to fix this? I havent yet took my HDD off and put it on another 360... do you think that will solve it?

I personally have never understood why taking your HDD to another box would fix anything since your game save is on the HDD. Unless its something to do with the memory cache on the box being screwy in which case you can do the old cache clearing trick that was used pretty much every load for Oblivion. I am happy to be wrong if anyone wants to shed light on how swapping boxs would fix this.

Yeh in my entire time playing I never got the unable to read error.

has anyone else had problems downloading the update? i start the DL and then it says error cant download the update, and kicks me back to the menu. anyother problems with this? and if so whats the cause?

never mind, i sorted out my issue... i played it on my brothers 360 with my HDD and played it again on my own 360 and it hasnt done anything wrong yet!
