I'm a big fan of platformer titles, and while I have heard that this game is sub-par at best from a handful of people, I'm willing to give it a try. However, I have a question regarding the achievements in this game. I enjoy collecting and unlocking achievements, and if there's one thing I hate, it's a game with achievements that are exceptionally difficult to unlock, as I will be the first to admit that I am no video game professional.
Therefore, without further adieu, I would like to know how difficult this game is in terms of completion and collecting achievements. How many of the 1000 points do you think the average gamer aiming to collect achievements would come away with after playing this game?
Thank you in advance for any responses.

im wanting to know the same thing to be honest, im getting this on friday and look forward to playing it. If the "hard" mode isnt too hard it should be fairly easy and with the guide up allready that helps too.
im hoping to get 925g+

Well, I rented this one. Being a big fan of the other Crash titles on the PS1.
I started off on Hard, which is what I normally do for stackable achievements, but I think if you played on easy you could still get the majority.
Within the first 25-30 minutes of play I got:
Right Stuff: Free fell for 5 seconds 5g
Idle Hands: Let Crash do 10 funny things 15g
Where Did The Time Go?: Spent 25 minutes in a single episode 25g
Mojo Magic: Complete 1 Mojo Room Challenge 10g
Gold Digger: Earn 1 Gold Episode idol 15g
Baker's Dozen: Jack 13 Strongs by any means 13g
Fits Like A Glove: Unlock 1 Creature Costume idol 10g
So in about half an hour I got 93g.
I'm currently up to 22/47 achievements and I'm only at Episode 7.
They're very easy to get, and remember I'm playing on Hard.
So if you were to go on Easy and complete the entire game, you'd be missing out on 105g.
Hard isn't incredibly difficult, you just have to be patient and expect to die quite a bit until you figure out a good strategy.
Hope this helped =)

I'm in the same boat whereas I loved the PS1 titles of the game, but I haven't played any since Warped came out back then. I went on eBay and the game is still selling for about $30 minimum, so I'll probably wait until I can find a better deal later on down the road. Nice to know the achievements are fairly...fair though.

It's pretty good, the acheivments are easy enough, I finished them in 1 day with some sleep my gameplay time was like, 12 hours for 100%.
I started the game on hard and worked on every level completion.
It's not really hard, but there are some infuriating parts, multiple enimies will knock you ever and you will be defensless and just die in 2 seconds.
I got every single acheivment except for brutal buffet, (jack 5 of all) because I've yet to go back to the bosses, in a single run.

I think this game would work out pretty well for you. Getting 1,000 in this would be a rough run, but you can have fun while getting 600-800 and then work on more if needed.
