Whilst in the Damascus Middle district, I started going around saving civilians, like always before an assassination. I started to 'save' this woman in about the center of the district when I was overwhelmed by guards. Throwing out my hidden-blade kills only rule, I immediatly got out my shortsword and started hacking away.
Five minutes and 74 dead guards later, I finally managed to get to the woman.

I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else? Whats the most guards you've ever killed in a single sitting?
I'm really starting to wish I had recorded it...

you keep count thats crazy, but by estimate I think the most Ive killed and fought was about 100+ I was going for the 25 kill achiv and just keep doing the keep movin to get more guards in the kingdom and it lasted about a good half hour. I did take a pic of a place where there was around 50+ bodies but for some reason I cant find it.

Wow, I haven't even managed to get the kill 25 guards in one fight achievement yet, especially not 74 guards! Good work.

Damascus - middle district, in the middle part of the district for saving a civilian. Its a fair bit into the game though, just a little note since you said you were starting a new game.

And it was in a single fight. I think I may have been near a spawn point.

Yeah I believe I have done around 60+, I would have kept going but I was getting bored, at one point I saw around 10 guys spawn right infront of me in the middle of my fight, kind of awkward and funny at the same time cause as soon as they spawned they all yelled "INFIDEL!!! DIE!!!"

my max is about 35 or so. 74.... she better had given you like 50 vigilantes for that.

Yeh im bout the same as King Goten, i was going for the 25 kills achievement and kept going for a bit and got to 35-40 but was then tossed into a lake. I tell you, hed wanna be able to swim in the next one.....

I was riding through the Kingdom looking for my 2 missing Templars (see post in When's a good time to start collecting flags? if curious - http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49014)
when I ran across the military camp outside of Acre. Now I've assassinated 2 of the targets in Acre so I assume the AI can recognize me instantly which seriously didn't help.

I rode to the gate, then dismounted, tried to walk in, and all hell breaks loose so I got on the horse and galloped around the camp looking for the templar without success, so I though 'Screw this, lets just kill them' and jumped into the pit where there are 2 flags. About 30 guards followed, and my templar too! So i killed them all, but the templar didn't count towards the additional memory. I got back up, managed to sneak to the templar who had respawned, killed him, and once again all hell breaks loose. I ended up having to kill everyone in the camp because I was getting fed up of them, and wanted revenge on those fucking archers. The place looked like a battlefield from Braveheart, must have been a good 40 - 50 soldiers. 20 mins wasted.
