trouble with the combo kill achievement..

I bet I killed around 700 guards today and didnt get the achievement, is there any method to doing this one?

This achievement was a tuffy, but its all about timing and listening. As soon as you hear the swords contact with a regular X attack, not a hold X attack, you want to push it again.

Now be warned, it does not work the first time at the start of the game and on the men with armor on so you want to wear them down first then do that. If you do what I said, you will get the achievement in no time.

Luckly I got that when on the last misson... ^^

Go to the training ring in Masyaf and practice the combo kill ability. You get three combo kills until you are kicked out of the ring and your mate says "thats how we all should fight" then just go back in and do it again. If you have killed as many as you said you have then chances are youve done most of the work and this is a quick way of finishing it off.

Thats exactly how I did mine. later on in the game trying to do this is retarded because tons of enemies grab you and are attacking you while you are trying to do it. The training ring is much much easier.

It can be hard to tell if you're doing things right if you're outside of the training ring. It takes a little while, but just do it in the training room and the achievement will eventually unlock.

So you can get the achievement by just repeating the Training Ring? since I can't seem to get Combo Kills outside of there! had the odd one or two but that's it :(

Exactly right, like was said its too hard to time your hits right to pull off the combo kill so its best to do it in a controlled environment like the training ring. May defeat the purpose laid out by the developers but still, its better than getting frustrated with massive fights.

Combos are a nightmare! Just when I string a few together, one enemy after the other, and think I've got the timing, I then can't do it again for a while.

If you're starting from scratch, you'll have to do the Combo Kill training 17 times. 17*3=51, just more than you need.
