According to a post on Xbox.com, he did not intend to cheat or glitch. It was a problem he had when he played Condemned, and whenever he puts the game in, its goes back to this incredibly high score. By the looks of it, I do not think he is cheating.

Here's how you too can earn gamerscore points well into the millions: instead of playing several thousand games through, earning all 1000 gamerscore points contained therein, just bend the laws of mathematics to your singular, corrupted will, by earning a total 2550 of 50 achievements, and a total of 4915477 of 970 gamerscore points!

Here you go, give it shot.

A simple glitch in the system probley. He wasn't banned by Microsoft or Xbox Live. Microsoft/Xbox Live does not ban a user if they are not intending to cheat or hack. If they got caught Hacking, they would not get banned, but get sent to court since you are tampering with a copyright patient product.

Heres some more info...

The Xbox Live world was thrown for a loop yesterday when it checked out the leaderboards to find an individual with the moniker "Dondums" holding the number one spot and sporting a whopping 4916919 GamerScore.

Dondums apparently triggered a glitch in the Xbox 360 launch title Condemned and earned 4915477 of 970 Gamerpoints and 2550 of only 50 possible achievements.

When actually viewing his profile stats, the service showed 180 Gamerpoints and 14 out of 50 achievements. Xbox Live officials are investigating the incident and Dondums GamerCard is currently inaccessible.

Dondums maintains that he did not cheat or hack his Xbox 360 with his response to a thread denouncing him as a cheater on the Xbox.com forums.

"Whether or not you all believe me is your own choice, but I did not hack, cheat, or somehow mod my 360 to bump my gamerscore up into the millions. If I had that power I would obviously have put it into the billions. My 360 glitched back in the first month I had it (the month following its release, not this latest patch), and I had no intentions of claiming the spot of #1 Xbox 360 Gamer in the entire universe. Don't hate the player, hate the game."

My part time job is Xbox Live (Microsoft) Customer Support. I am looking on the computer. "Dundums" gamertag is being investigated, but he is not banned at all.

Obviously this has not happened to everyone. It was a rare glitch when he did a save and reloaded. I believe that is what he said.

I thought you worked for EB Games? And no, Dondums isnt being investigated, Microsoft already said it was unintentional and Dondums asked to have himself removed from several leaderboards because it wasnt his intent to cheat

logging onto someones information on the screen and then giving out ANY information on it is overhere. i.e. we cant even give out the credit on a PAYG phone without doing security checks, its stupid the level it goes into.

So although the gamercard isnt sensitive, hes taken information from a restricted account and published it.

CRIMINAL!!

Haven't they gone completely the other way in America, with the Freedom of Information Act?

You can find out (and publish) anything about anyone over there.

Like I said before...

Weekdays - EBGames
Weekends - Xbox Live Customer Support

and it is not illegal becuase in are computers there is a search engine for xbox live (employee's only). When I search his gamertag that is what it tells me. I can see all of his information and it is illegal for me to release that information. I released information that I can release to everyone (even if you called on the phone).

Yes we do have that type of law. That's why I can't release minor information like someone's schedule for the next work week unless I'm talking to them.

This is still priviliaged information that none of us are suposed to know SO if you are, in fact, looking at that screen, you just broke company pollicy that you seem to covet so much.
