Hey guys, just thought I'd put my first signature attempts on here. I just got Photoshop yesterday, so I have very little idea what I'm doing. :p I think I'm getting the hang of it a bit with some random tutorials I've looked at. I think my worst part so far is figuring out good backgrounds. Let me know what you guys think, I'd love some tips. :)

They're... simple. Very simple.

I like the first one better than the Wolverine sig.

Only tip is for you to find some tuts and try to add borders.

I really like the first one a lot.

I have a question that i feel pretty dumb for asking since i've been here for so long. What's the point of making sigs. I mean, say i really liked the first one, would you give it to me? How does that work? And how does the whole thing about people making specific signatures for people work.

I'm looking for a new signature because the skate one is the biggest piece of crap ever lol.

I have a God of War sig in my gallery... and yes, someone would make it.

Hell anybody reading this could make it. I could consider your post a request, so could Glyndinn.

Signatures are simply there to look cool and add a little personality to your posts. If you ask in the request thread (as AJMac already stated) it should be done within a few days as long as somebody notices who wants to make such a signature.

You could also PM one of the members who make signatures on a regular basis. The galleries are mostly here as an art gallery. We post the sigs, you come in and tell us if you like them or not and if you see one that you like, you can request it via PM.

Some people don't like handing out sigs that they've made for themselves but I think most of us wouldn't mind slapping your name on one and handing it over. I've done that with several.

Ohh okay. Thanks for your response. I finally understand the whole deal with requesting sigs.

I'll send you a PM for that God of War sig.;) I really like it a lot.

Thanks for the reminder about borders Skillet, I hadn't even thought of that.

I just added an Illidan sig from WoW, and I remade the Wolverine one a bit, because I agree that it looked pretty crappy. I don't know if it is a huge improvement, but to me it is. :p


I'll be working on making my sigs more complex soon...baby steps!

Yes, to get this thread back on the subject of Glyndinn's sigs...

The new Wolverine sig looks good but you have the old one posted twice.

Another thing I could tell you is to slow down. I used to think pumping out sig after sig would be good but now I'm only working on one a day or fewer. The more time spent staring at it, the more detail you'll be able to squeeze in there and make some awesome sigs.

I think you're right about slowing down...it's hard though when there are so many cool renders out there to use. I think I'll spend more time finding good brushes and practicing. Thanks :drunk
