What points do you need to get S rank per level?

How many points is the minimum for an S rank per level and does this minimum raise the higher the difficulty you play?

Edit: Okay maybe I'll rephrase this. For mission 13 with Pasternak, if I get all S ranks for all missions, what is the lowest grade I would need to get an S total? A C or a B? I can't check because all the easy difficulties are already completed with an S rank and I'm running through on hard now.

For Mission 13, if you got a S rank for the other operations, you need to get, I think, at least a B rank. As far as I remember, you can't get a S rank for the mission if one of the operations is a C or lower.

Man I seriously need help with this mission. It doesn't make ANY sense. I have an S in ALL the operations and half my operation times are under 1 minute. Operation D is 3:16. That's damn fast. I have maxed out the points basically for all operations. I'm I actually going to have to kill 50 of these damn UAVs?

Edit: I FINALLY figured it out thanks to ONE comment on the Gamespot forums containing apparently the only info about this on the net. You MUST get an S rank on the 4 operations in the SAME play, (you can't get S total on mission 13 by simply getting S on all operations) and then get an S rank on 2nd. That means you must shoot down 35 UAVs. Easy way to do this? CFA-44 first-off and foremost (Complete hard. Buy the second colour because the first isn't as good). Then do operations A E F D, in that order. E and F can be switched if need be. "A" gives you a runway and "D" ensures ESM for your teammates. Make sure before the cutscene that you return to the runway and have your EMLs equipped. Give your wingman the ADDMs. Shoot down as many UAVs as you can when they head towards you, with you flying east. Pull a U-turn and head straight back to the runway, landing at it. It's best to wait until Pasternak fires his missiles as landing at the runway will cancel these (otherwise you wouldn't be able to take off again). There should be a few UAVs flying towards you so take off and fire your EMLs at them. I get 5-6 at most. 6 because sometimes you'll hit two with one on accident. You might need to turn almost immediately after lift-off because Pasternak can have missiles launched at you. Fly back over the bay, maybe do a few circles overtop of Marigold and then head back to the runway. Another handy tip is that when Pasternak puts off that red beacon on the radar, he is flying very slow. Get just outside this red beacon (not necessary, but this is what he uses to lock onto you, I believe) and turn to him. There should be some UAVs guarding him. Easy kills as they fly fairly slowly with him.

Hell, I never even figured out how to buy and change the colors in the campaign.

Don't know if this has been discussed as I quickly browsed your post Acid placidity, But I am about 75% sure you need to shoot down 30 UAV's on mission 13 to get an S.

C= 0-10
B= 11-20
A= 21-30
S= 30+ (I can't confirm the Exact number but I reckon it would be 31)

No it's just plain grey and ugly. Other one's brown.

I say this becuase whilst ace hunting I got S on all levels on expert, Easy mode I have got S on all levels, Normal is done, hard is nearly finished and I need to to ace. It's porbably common sense but I'm sure It is an availible option?!

You should already have the "Gold Star" for getting all S's on expert, regardless of doing that in free mission.

After the last mission in a level is S-ranked, the next screen after the debrief for that mission will prompt you on whatever medal you've just obtained.
