I'm just wondering how long it takes to complete the single player campaign and obtain atleast a 600-700 Gamerscore?

The missions take up to an hour usually to get an S ranking (killing everything on the map, not just targets). There are 15 missions. You must do this 4 times. Then you have to go through the game two more times on normal to get your bullets only completion and no damage on every mission in the game. These can both be gotten on one playthrough, but seriously, F that. Get every operation on each mission... Find and kill ten named aircraft... I'd say you're looking at a week or more of solid playing. And it does get boring. And you'll only be getting around 540-550 points if I remember correctly.

I rented it. I have 410 points in 21:32:00 on the dot. That's flight time. 80 sorties. 6622 kills. Completed easy and expert. That should give you an idea of the time itll take to get to where I am.

damn, i always play the demo but it seems like a pretty hard game, so i guess to get a 60% completion on this game i'm probably looking at 50-60 hours. Correct?

Yeah, the thing is, they changed the game a lot from the originals. Before Ace difficulty was just as easy as Easy. Now it seems the enemy missiles can redirect in the air, and I've seen teammates missiles do it too. The harder the difficulty, the more clouds and enemies there are in certain spots, if I've noticed correctly. Enemies lock faster and their missiles stay locked a lot longer. They also take more damage and you get less missiles. After Normal you are limited to how many MG bullets you get. There are missions where you NEED to clear a certain objective to pass the mission (you can run out of ammo, I won't say why as it may spoil it) and it gets frusterating. I wouldn't say 50-60 hours but again there are only 15 levels which you have to repeat over quite a few times over multiple difficulties. I don't wanna discourage you, it's an amazing game, and if you love flight sims and great graphics without total realism (Over G Fighters), then I'd give it a rent.

No problem man. I've been playing these games since AC4 and I AM the man for Ace Combat games. I love flying and I love kicking ass. Both of which I do really well in this game. I don't care for some of the changes in this release, like the lack of jets and wingmen. But what can you do? Anyway, have fun. I might send you a PM when I get back from Christmas to get online!
