Unlocked: I replayed the level and redid the golden monkey vase fight then got the tub stopper and filled the tub. It could be either of these so fill the tub on your first playthrough, if you don't get it then just replay the level to get it.

Why can Pan only get so far away before it hurts?

Unlocked: After the first fight with the Golden Money this question is unlocked.

Will I ever have to deal with that horrible woman again?

Thanks for this! I was able to finish out my questions last night and get the achievement. It's a real pain when you're missing 1 question and don't know which chapter its in, especially since the journal LOOKS like it has more space for questions on some of the levels (like Camp Ambush). Anyway...

On the Showdown I'm pretty sure you have to use Y to examine the documents on the tables in the magesterium to unlock all the questions. There are a couple on the desk you hide under in the room with the control and a couple more in the room where you find Iorek's armor. You'll unlock at least one question immediately upon examining the ones in the armor room.

I got this during the second playthrough.. Farder Coram told me to ask my watch about Nicole Kidman and by then I got it.

But I have another problem.. one question is "How does the Athliometer (whatever) work". This is the question where the game tells me how to use the watch and answer any questions. When I finish the minigame it tells me that Ruyter is dead and the question is never crossed.. is this normal? Because the answer goes with the next question in the book.. I hope that's not a glitch or something like that.

This question unlocked for me after tricking the sailor that you're a Gyptian 3 times. The last thing he says is something like "No one will believe you're from Oxford", then I got the "Journal Question Added" screen. It was the last question I needed too, I think you do need this question to unlock the achievement.

I'm currently trying to unlock the question acheviement and only one is missing : it's the second question of the Showdown stage. I can't find a way to unlock it, I've been beating this stage something like 10 times by now but it won't unlock. By collecting all of the four documents you unlock question 1 and by finishing the stage you unlock question 3 but not the second one.

Edit : ok I finally found it. To get the second question, you need to kill the doctor with the lightning machine. Then the question will be added.

I can completely confirm this.. during my first playthrough I only scared away the doctor with the machine and I didn't get the question. I just replayed the level and stunned (it's a game for children ;)) him and now I got the question.

This one unlocks when talking to Alfons at the back of the boat, he is the guy who checks out your gyptian talk. All i did was completed every one of his questions with success and thats when I got that question.

The question "How Exactly does the Alethiometer work?" didn't work for my 48th question it stayed uncrossed so I had to go back and find the other above question for me to get the full 48 questions unlocked.

this hasnt been update in the guide. and i think it should be because its WRONG.

you need to zap the scientist guy with the electricity after you finish hiding under the table you get the documents from.

walk towards the panel where the button is wait for the guy to get next to the bed then press the button. a few seconds later the journal question will be added

This one unlocks when talking to Alfons at the back of the boat, he is the guy who checks out your gyptian talk. All i did was completed every one of his questions with success and thats when I got that question.

Never mind I got it. When I got the symbol for wrestling with the golden monkey in the second part of Bolvangar apparently that must have gave the symbol and the question because I then had it at the end of the level. But I could be wrong!!

Yes you are correct you have to trick the gypsy three times perfectly to unlock this. you will end up with 39 questions but you dont answer the tutorial one.

You get all of these just by playing the level, I don't think you have to do anything special.

I just finished this game and with only a few small problems the guide worked well. All the questions that do not have explanations of a specific task that are required to be performed are story driven.

One thing you may check is the 'score / review' screen at the end of every level. If you missed something it will be the item on the far right and is usually something like, 'perfect deception' or 'finish level with greater than 75% health'. Check there to see how you did, it may explain what is missing.

Sorry, this is how I got mine. Try playing the level again, if there are deception mini-games make sure to not miss any parts of them.

And i still dont have the achievement. Ive answered all of them aswell except when i try to answer the first question on the boat it answers the second one, cos they r exactly the same. I got the Achievement after I answered the final 6 "Northern Lights" questions you unlock after beating the final level. Bam, Achievement unlocked.

I think the problem that 99% of people encounter is they don't finish the bonus objectives each level contains. They vary from level to level, but always check if you got the three extra rewards at the end of a level completion screen.
