When I say funny I mean...well...for example when I played assassins creed I got the achievement Enemy of the Poor and when I read it again it said that "You have managed to scare away 25 beggers, I hope you are proud of yourself". It made me lol. I am wondering if you guys have encountered anything like that.

I think the funniest achievement is shadowrun fever, it doesn't have a good description or anything, but it is an STD, you get it by teabagging someone who already has it.

The funniest achievement ever is the Shadowrun one when you get it for tea bagging an enemy that has the achievement. Its basicaly a quickly spreading STD, kind of like AIDS.

Gotta love the assasin's creed enemy of the poor. "no you don't understand, I have nothing! ahhhh" But there are some good ones in Half Life 2 'targeted advertising' 'little rocket man' (ceases to be funny about halfway through) 'hot potatowned' there is a definite sense of humor to it.
The shadowrun achievement encourages teabagging, how is this a good thing?

i thought this was a easy and funny achievement it's from GH2 extra credit award: view the credits and the credits are like 15 mins long so i went to eat dinner and when i got back POP achievement unlocked.

I'm with noob on this one. I thought they wouldnt be that long, I actually went and made myself lunch while I was "achieving" this.

Another funny achievement is "Toaster in the Tub" from Bioshock. Shock an enemy in the water.

This doesnt have to do with top 5 funniest achievements, but my friend got the nuge achievement on gears of war, and he kept goin, sweet i got the "nudge" achievement. No one has corrected him to this day;)

I am partial to the "Is It a Spider" achievement in GoW. The fact that GoW was willing to reference the Halo-based Red vs. Blue is quite humorous, and just looking at it makes me want to shout "GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!"

the achievement itself isnt funny its just what you have to do, Avatar the most patertic gamerscore hoard there is 60 secs for 1000 points and that includes taking it out of the box so so glad i rented the mother!!

Warm Coffee in GTA IV is a funny play on the hot coffee issue
The nutshot achievement from stranglehold is good
The gnome achievement from Orange Box was funny because you basically played the whole game looking at a gnome
The shadowrun teabag achievement is really funny
And for some reason I thought it was really funny listening to Superman's commentary as you go around the city rescuing all the cats.

I'd have to say the achievements in Fable 2 when unlocked are funny
1.) The Hunter- So proud of yourself? Big brave hunter killed an innocent rabbit? how do you sleep at night?
2.) The Black Knight- You Have turned Hollow-Man killing into an art form, Turns out it wasn't just a flesh wound
3.) Swinger- You went to bed with more than one person and...well why do you think we blacked out the screen?
4.) Save The Bacon-CoD4
5.) The Money Shot-Gears of War- Whenever i see this i think its a reference to getting kicked in the balls lol

I went online, got in a helicopter and flew up really high. I jumped out and started hitting heaps of buttons trying to open my parachute but I couldn't work it out. After I splattered on the ground the achievement unlocked.

I went back into it and found the description had changed to: "There is no parachute, right?".
