Do you get to keep your character after the game is done??

OK, I finished the game this morning, and I'm kind of pissed right now cause I thought that I would be able to keep my character, but earlier today I saw someone say that you can play with your character over again, can somebody please straighten this out for me? Thanks. :)

Yes, just create a new career and load up an existing character.

I am not sure but I would doubt it.

When you carry your char over, all your money and items are doubled...

So if you had 1 mill when you completed it, and one full set of the pwnage Spectre gear, when you start over you'll have 2 mill and two full sets of the pwnage Spectre gear, for example.

And, all equipped upgrades stay equipped on the weapons they were previously equipped on.

Wait, they're doubled? Somehow I doubt that, but I've always had max credits when I restarted so I can't confirm that part...

For items, you keep all of the items you had and your equipment, and your allies' equipment gets put into your inventory (because allies in the new game start fresh). I think that's where you're getting the idea items are doubled.

Some items are duplicated, the only significant ones i saw was my Spectre Shotgun. I had two and I just smiled and gave it to Ash and some Medium Armour i had equipped which i gave to Kaiden.

Maybe its equipment on Shepard that gets duplicated. Just a speculation can anyone confirm this?
