Does anyone have any tips on how to complete this achievement without destorying any of the 3 protective orbs? When i send my 4 ships to attack the Omega sphere, it practically destroys one of my ships in 10 seconds.

I can't remember what ships I had, but I had 1 from each class and the most expensive ones.

Attack and retreat when your ships are getting heavy damage. Once away from the sphere it will come after you, but if you just warp around the level you can avoid it while you are repairing your ships for another attack.

You did take out the defensive grid I assume? And difficulty is on ensign?
