for the past day, my 360 always freezes within 5 minutes. The screen gets highjacked by white lines all over the place
ive unplugged the powerbrick and av cables, replugged and also tried different outlets for the brick, but it always freezes
i dont get why they wont just give me the red lights since it doesnt look too good for my box
soon, im gonna unplug my HD and put it back in and see if that does anything
anyways, i have a feeling that Ill be joining the dead 360 club

Mine did that 2 weeks ago, make sure theres nothing blocking the back of your 360, i believe what caused mine was because i had papers on top of it, and they got pushed a little bit so that they were hanging off the back, completely blocking the back (where the heat comes out)..
Kept freezing, each time it took shorter and shorter amounts of time
Soon as i moved them, it worked..

I had the same thing happen to a friend. It got so bad it wouldn't boot. About a week later it gave him the ring of death. Had to replace it.:(

Mines also broken, exactly the same thing as yours. It took a day for the 3 red lights to show too. This is the second one thats broken on me. They also ran out of protective boxes to send them in, so you had to provide your own. Cheekily I sent mine back in my old ps2 box.:D
What I did when mine broke was I went to Best Buy and "borrowed" one.. bought it, used it for a week, then returned it....

Its really quick and easy and there customer service is the best ive come across. Phone them, tell them exactly whats happened, they may want to try a few things like starting up with your HDD removed ect. When they decide to send you a new one they will give you a reference number. They will then send you a pre-paid protective box within 2 days, put your xbox in there (nothing else cables, controller ect) and phone the courier to pick it up and bobs your uncle. I had mine back within a week. GOOD LUCK :D

i havnt had any problems yet but i do have a question.
what if you dont have a warrenty or something?
can you still call and have them fix it? thats what it seemed like from the post above.

Yeah they will still repair it or replace it. A warrenty is usually taken out with the retail store not with microsoft. Its microsofts problem and they are dealing with it. I dont know how long they will continue to do so for. They have replaced thousands of xboxs and this must be crippling for there profits.
