Can you use a character that you already beat it with and just change the difficulty in options before you start a new career? Would this be a bad idea if you can do it? Because the enimies level with you dont they?

Yeah you can use a character you have beaten the game with. Personally I think it would be easier as you have more skills available and all your equipment. I brought a character over and played on the same difficulty and found it too easy.

Yeah but if you play it on the harder difficulty is that going to get the achievement?

Obviously we unlock difficulty levels by beating the game, but do we unlock both hardcore and insane on the first play through, or do we need to beat hardcore to unlock insane?

Yes, I hope you can do insane from the beginning!!

You start off with the basic three, unlock hardcore by beating it once, and I think you unlock insane by beating it on hardcore. You wouldn't want to start on insane anyway, the learning curve would snap your spine in half.

In another thread someone says that they started a new game with their old character, then as soon as they were able to pause it (before even moving) they went to the options and changed to hardcore. After beating the game, they got the appropriate achievement for it.
I haven't done it personally yet, but I believe it.

I'm on the process of doing it. Doing side quests, its still pretty hard.

Yes it's very true, the official strategy guide states that you can change difficulty as much as you want until the end of Eden Prime to get the difficulty achievements.

Sweet. I gotta get in on that. It might be even harder since enemies level up with you. but you do have all your skills and stuff.

I got to say Vanguards probably are you best best since they can reach untouchable levels of shields and have a monster shotgun Soldiers are nice but most skills of theirs relate to weapons and you can't use more than one at a time
