I played the demo of this not to long ago and didn't really get into it to much. Sadly you can't base a game to much on the demo alone, I learned that with Blue Dragon. Horrible demo, but GREAT game.

Anywho, what I was wondering if this game is similar to Kessen 2 or if it is similar to anything else out on the market nowadays. Reason I'm asking is because I'm just a bit leary putting this one on my Gamefly list since it takes like a full week for me to get a game.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!!!!

It's like if Kessen and Kingdom Under Fire had a child.
Really fun, really addictive, and pretty difficult in the later levels.

Well I've never played Kingdom Under Fire, but I loved Kessen 2. So if it anyway similar I might take another crack at it.

KuF has troops you attach to your main Hero that gain levels and have + and -'s against other units. This game you can hire units to call at a whim in battle, pick up some that are around *squads* that gain levels and skills that you can develop with skill points. Also you can equip them. The point usually is to take a specific base in a map where you have to bump down the defense points of them by attacking point units that have a shield around their type/level.

That's it in a nutshell, I never played Kessen too much.

I have been a fan of the KOEI company since I bought my PS2 a while back. I still own Dynasty Warrriors 3, 4, & 5 and Romance of the 3 Kingdoms 9 and 10.

KOEI is known in my opinion for making button mashing, combo chain fighting attack styles where you are up against thousands of enemy troops that you slaughter by the dozens.

Hopefully when I rent this game it will combine medieval strategy with beat all odds slaughterfests!

Looks similar to the Dynasty warriors series. Is it worth buying or is this one just a rental game??
